May Events: Division 7 South’s First Annual Banquet
The banquet was held at PGHS to
say goodbye to our 2009-2010 offi-
cers, and LTG, Ryan, and to wel-
come in our 2010-2011 board. We
were showered with food, speeches
by Immediate Past Presidents, and
of course, a last minute dance party.
June Events: St. John’s Café
For this event, Key Clubbers from both Monterey Trail ,
Laguna Creek HS and SHS helped paint an entire café
from the dining room to the kitchen. This café was built
for the women and children living in St. John’s Shelter for
Women and Children. This shelter was built in order espe-
cially for the women to be able to recover from whatever
financial issue they were going through and to learn to be
able to support themselves.
July Events: Sacramento Zoo’s Ice Cream Safari
During this event, Key Clubbers
went around the zoo passing free
popsicles to visitors. The Sacra-
mento Zoo had Baskin Robbins
Ice Cream stands in every corner.
After the members finished their
shifts, majority of them enjoyed refreshing, free, leftover ice
cream.
July DCM && Elk Grove Key Club’s Water DodgeBALLoon Extravaganza There was another divisional council meeting, but right
afterwards, EGHS hosted their Water DodgeBALLoon
Extravaganza (which Sheldon
Key Club’s team, Team
Rocket, won)! This was their
fundraiser in order to raise
money for the year. It was
located on the fields of Elk
Grove High School.

August Events: LC/SHS Carwash Fundraiser
Sheldon paired up with Laguna Creek in order to have a
car wash. This was a fundraiser to raise money for both
our clubs for the year. It was located at the Nugget on
Elk Grove Blvd. (Yes, we washed that RV)
Kit Assembling: HIV Patients in Africa This event was open to the community to where families
from all over Sacramento gathered around in order to
assemble kits for HIV patients in Africa. This event re-
lates to our division’s Major Emphasis Project (MEP)
The MEP is basically our division’s goal this year to serve
the community.

playing the piano.
What do you enjoy most during Key
Club events?
The thing I enjoy the most during Key
Club events are the people. Whether
it's meeting new people or catching up
with old friends, it's the nice people
there that makes it all worth it to go to a Key Club event.
Secretary: Dianna Ngo [email protected]
c/o 2011
Likes: reading large novels &eating till her
stomach bursts.
What inspired you to become secretary?
I wanted to get more involved in Key Club.
Before, I was a shy girl who didn’t really
believe that I could make a difference. I
wanted to lead and have people look up to me like I use to
look up at the past officers.
Treasurer: Kim Fang [email protected]

Likes: singing, scrapbooking, Starbucks,
crepes & loves to serve others.
Name one unforgettable experience in
Key Club.
I enjoyed Toy Box and meeting people who
tell you that you are changing their lives.

Why did you join Key Club?
I joined Key Club during my freshman
year because I really missed my Florin HS
friends. I was going to use Key Club as an
excuse to meet them, and plus I needed
community service hours. However, throughout the events,
what I found was a ton of amazing new friends, and a second
family.

Hello Key Clubbers! How do you feel? Welcome to year
2010-2011 of Key Club! I am your President this year and
for those who have known me, I was your Vice-President last
year. I have been in Key Club since freshmen year (this is
my fourth year!) and have been enjoying it every day. I am
very easy to talk to, so don’t be afraid to approach me. I
hope you will enjoy this year full of Key Club.

What do you love most about Key Club?
I love how key club has allowed me to meet so many
different people. We put aside our differences to help
our community and no matter what we find fun doing
so. Key clubbers are always so high in spirit, it makes me
so happy and proud to be a key clubber.
