Mental Health Night
Congratulations and thank you to the Lock
Health Advisory Committee for organizing
and putting on the Mental Health Night
last Wednesday evening. It was a great
night with good food, great company and
terrific speakers. It was special to listen to
Rodney McCallum’s story. What he said
was very moving and poignant and you
could have heard a pin drop in the
audience, so taken were we with what he
was saying. Thank you again Lock Health
Advisory Committee and all their
volunteers, well done.
Pedal to the Metal
As part of their Tech Studies with Mrs
Humphries, the Year 9/10 students
designed and constructed compressed air
powered dragsters. These they tested on
a track of stretched fishing line stretched
across the gym. Through pressure packed
rounds of races Jacob’s speed machine
was the undefeated champion. Great
effort students and thank you Mrs
Humphries.
Fore!!!
Samuel Pearce and Aaron Siebert
competed in the Golf Country
Championships on the weekend. The
tournament was held at the Barossa
Valley Golf Club in Nuriootpa. Sam took
out the Invitational Division 2
Championship. Well done to both boys
and congratulations to Sam on a great
accomplishment.

ICT
At the training Ms Sampson went to last

Technologies. ICT Capabilities is taught
within all curriculum areas and supports
students to be effective users of
technology where as Digital Technologies
is a new subject moving students from
technology consumers to creators. A
poster is attached to the Newsletter to
help further explain.

PCW CORNER
The following is a good reminder to us all to be careful how we judge others!
Everyone Has a Story in Life
A 24-year-old boy seeing out from the train’s window shouted…
“Dad, look the trees are going behind!”
Dad smiled and a young couple sitting nearby, looked at the 24 year olds childish behaviour with pity, suddenly he again exclaimed…
“Dad, look the clouds are running with us!”
The couple couldn’t resist and said to the old man…
“Why don’t you take your son to a good doctor?” The old man smiled and said… “I did and we are just coming from the hospital. My son was blind from birth. He just got his eyes today.
Every single person on the planet has a story. Don’t judge people before you truly know them. The truth might surprise you.
