A new piece of equipment has been added to the Rainbow Playground in place of the yellow metal spiral climbing frame which was damaged in the removal of the old soſt fall. The installaon of our updated security cameras will be completed by the end of this week, thank you to Mrs Walsh for her work in organising this important project. Next week we will conduct the first acvity of our Transion to School program with a Readiness for School Evening on Thursday September 16 at 7.30pm. The evening will be conducted by myself, Ms Garrity, Mrs Pearson (Foundaon Leader) and Mrs Lawrence (Early Childhood Educator). We will discuss the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and how it supports a smooth transion from pre-school to school and specific informaon about the transion to school program at POPS. The meeng with be on line through WebEx and parents with children starng school will be invited by email. Due to a number of reasons we have an increased number of adolescents using the grounds aſter school hours and although we generally welcome members of our community to use the grounds aſter hours we cannot have large groups congregang in the grounds with the current COVID restricons in place. We have contacted the Police as some unsafe behaviour has been observed and the last thing we want to happen is that someone is injured. We expect that anyone coming into the grounds to behave respecully. Spring has really arrived and the central courtyard at POPS is alive with the blossom of our Chancleer Pears, our nave plants are flowering, the ovals are green and some plants in the vegetable garden are growing overnight it seems! The gardens play an important part in the peaceful and natural environment of POPS. Next week is Wellbeing Week at POPS and the teachers are preparing some fabulous acvies for students and families to engage in, including the online Disco sponsored by our Parents Associaon. Please contact myself, Ms Garrity or your childs class teacher if you would like support or to discuss anything. Stay safe.
