3D Design Students work on their OCR ELC (Entry Level Certificate) portfolio work. Currently this work is based upon Norse mythology and is inspired by the Magnus Chase books by the author Rick Riordan. This consists of designing a character, modeling a bust from super sculpey clay, designing a building and creating a white card 1/100th scale model of it

3D Design Students continue working on their GCSE portfolio work started the summer terms of Year 9

Students have a mock examination working on a task set by the examination board. This gives them the experience of producing a project set for them, and in a short length of time. The students will complete the whole task except that they will not have the 10-hour timed session to produce their final pieces

Students receive the set-task examination paper on January 2nd. They must choose one of the topics set for them and complete a design project in the same style as their portfolio work. The set-task culminates in a 10-hour examination, spread over two school days, during which they realise their outcome under strict examination conditions

GCSE is complete when the students have finished their 10-hour examination
