‘Then, bringing their boats back to land, they left everything and followed him.’ Luke 5:1-11

This week, we listened to Luke’s story about the fishermen Simon, James and

John and how they gave up everything they had to follow Jesus and become

His disciples.

We learnt that Simon, James and John were blown away by Jesus’

miracle.

They realised that the most important thing they could do with

their lives was to follow him.

They sacrificed their boats and way of making money because they

realised that the rewards of following Jesus would be worth it.

Dear Jesus,Thank you for calling me to follow you.

I want you to be the most important thing in my life.I choose to follow you.

Friday 7th February was Time to Talk Day, organised by the mental health charity, Time to Change. The charity campaign to end the stigma surrounding mental health, as too many people with mental health problems are made to feel isolated, worthless and ashamed. Each class took part in different activities to celebrate our mental health and to promote talking about how we feel. The message for the day was that “it is ok not to be ok”.
