Science What is light? How can you describe transparent, translucent, and opaque objects? What is the difference between reflection and refraction? What causes color? How does sound travel? Report Card Jan. 13- AR Pajama Day Jan 16- MLK Holiday (no school) Jan 18- Math Unit 4 Test Jan. 20- “100 Day” Dress Up Celebration for those students who achieved PBIS recognition (Dress as if you are 100 years old.) Jan. 25- Math Challenge Grades 1-5 Jan. 26- PTSO @ 7:00 pm., County Spelling Bee at ECCA 6:30-8:00 pm Notes for Parents It is important for students to spend 20 minutes each night independently reading. They may choose to read their A.R. book, homework activities, or any other reading material they are interested in. Research shows students who read 20 minutes per day increase their fluency and comprehension skills.
