Amr ibn Hisham went to Zuhair ibn Abi Omayya and said:

“Do you agree that we ate and they cannot eat? That we drink and they cannot drink?”

Zuhair said: “I am but one man, what can I do?”

Amr said: “I am with you and we are two”.

"I will guide you to the means by which you will gain sovereignty over both the Arabs and

non-Arabs.“

"I want you to testify that there is no god worthy to be worshipped but Allâh, and then divest yourselves

of any sort of worship you harbour for any deities other than Allâh."

Has he made the gods [only] one God? Indeed, this is a curious thing.“

And the eminent among them went forth, [saying], "Continue, and be patient over [the defense of] your gods. Indeed, this is

a thing intended.

We have not heard of this in the latest religion. This is not but a fabrication.

And do not send away those who call upon their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His

countenance. Not upon you is anything of their account and not upon them is anything of your

account. So were you to send them away, you would [then] be of the wrongdoers. (Al-An’aam: 52)

"O my uncle! Tell me a word (i.e. 'La ilaha Illallah‘), so that I may argue for you before Allah on the Day

of Judgement.”

Indeed, [O Muhammad], you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided. (Al-Qasas: 56)

Death of Khadijah

"Indeed Allah did not grant me better than her; she accepted me when people rejected me, she believed

in me when people doubted me, she shared her wealth with me when people deprived me, and Allah

granted me children only through her.“ (Muslim)

lack of resources and my lowliness before men. O most Merciful! Thou art the Lord of the weak and

Thou art my Lord. To whom wilt Thou relinquish my fate! To one who will misuse me? Or to an enemy to whom Thou hast given power over me? If Thou art not angry with me then I care not what happens to

me. Thy favor is all that counts for me.

I take refuge in the light of Thy countenance, by which all darkness is illuminated. And the things of this world and next are rightly ordered. I wish to please Thee until Thou art pleased. There is no

Lit. The Journey and AscensionBefore the Journey:Angel Jibreel opened the Prophet’s breast, extracted his heart and washed it with the water of Zam-Zam.

Al-Buraq:Lit. “a beam that shines”

“I was brought the Buraq, a long white beast, slightly bigger than a donkey but smaller than a mule which when trotting (ride), would place its next step as far as its eyesight could see. I mounted it until I reached al-Quds, Jerusalem. There I tied it up to the same ring used by the Prophets.”

Masjid al-Aqsa:“Then, I entered the Masjid, offered two raka’hs of prayer.” [Saheeh Muslim]

Masjid al-Aqsa has been the center of all Prophets, since the period of Ibraheem therefore all the Prophets gathered in the Mosque and Prophet lead them in prayers. This proves the high position of the last Messenger, Muhammad amongst the previous Prophets and Messengers. [Tafseer Ibn Katheer]

Choosing the Fitrah:You have been guided on al-Fitrah and you have attained al-Fitrah. Had you selected the wine, your nation would have been mislead.” [Saheeh al-Bukharee v: 6, no: 232]

Imaam an-Nawawi (rahimahullah) said: “You chose al-Fitrah” meant that he chose the religion of Islam, i.e. “You have chosen the emblem of Islam and Istiqamah (steadfastness). The milk was a sign because it is easy to drink, good and tasty, while wine is the opposite, “the mother of all evil” and a cause for cruel acts.”

Sidrat al-Muntaha – The Upmost Boundary“Then I was taken to Sidhrat al-Muntaha, whose leaves were like the ears of an elephant and its fruit like big earthen vessels. And when it was covered by the Command of Allah, it underwent such a change that none amongst the creation has the power to praise its beauty.”

The Witnesses Punishments:

“When I was taken up to heaven I passed by people who had nails of copper and were scratching their faces and their breasts. I said: Who are these people, Jibreel? He replied: They are those who used to backbite and who slander people's honor.” [Sunan of Abu-Dawood no: 4860]

The Witnesses Punishments:

I asked Jibreel who they were and he told me that they were people who had practiced usury (dealing with interest).” [Musnad Ahmad, Ibn Majah and at-Tirmidhee 2828]

طغى وما البصر زاغ ماThe sight [of the Prophet] did not swerve, nor did it

transgress [its limit]. (53:17)

“I asked Aa’ishah (radhi allahu anha): “O Mother! Did Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihe wa-sallam) see his Lord?” Aa’ishah (radhi allahu anha) said: “What you have said makes my hair stand on end! Know that if somebody tells you one of the following three things, he is a liar: ‘Whoever tells you that Muhammad (sallallahu alaihe wa-sallam) saw his Lord, is a liar.” Then Aa’ishah recited the Verse: “No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision. He is the Most Courteous Well-Acquainted with all things.” [(6): 103]... [Saheeh al-Bukharee vol: 6, no: 378]

Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al- Aqsa, whose

surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.

“A young horse takes a month to reach Masjid al-Aqsa and a month to return, and your friend (i.e. The Prophet (saw)) says he did it in one night?”

Abu Bakr said: “If he (ie. The Prophet (saw)), then he has spoken truth”.

المتقون هم أولئك به وصدق بالصدق جاء والذي

And the one who has brought the truth and [they who] believed in it - those are the righteous. (39:33)

"Know surely, this is the Prophet with whom the Jews are ever threatening us; wherefore let us make haste and be the first to join him.“

"We have left our community for no tribe is so divided by hatred and rancour as they are. Allâh may cement our ties through you. So let us go and invite them to this religion of yours; and if Allâh unites them in it, no man will be dearer than you."
