QIF is an effective, transparent, and regulated instrument for cooperation between larger and smaller groups of investors with a shared investment goal.

QIF can also be used to centrally manage a portfolio of assets, or to obtain financial resources for further development of a  client’s  business without it being negatively affected by joint decision-making.

Economic advantage in the form of considerably lower taxation (5% corporate tax vs 19% and higher personal income tax; 0% on redemption after three years vs standard 15% on dividends).

QIF offers a wide range of possibilities for investment focus and limits (securities, real estate, renewable resources, receivables, loans, trademarks, works of art, etc.).

Compared with international tax planning structures, the advantages of QIF include lower tax and legal risks, simpler and more transparent administration and elimination of difficulties arising from profit repatriation and conflicts of law.

QIF status defines the conditions for investments and relationships between shareholders; as such, it uses control mechanisms to limit investment risk and the activities of fund management.

Qualified investor funds make it possible to secure financial resources for project implementation, business development, capital strengthening, or management buyout.

The most common fund structure is the SICAV (investment company with variable capital), which allows the founder (and the initiator) to control voting rights, thus controlling the fund. It  also grants external investors asset protection and the right to earn gains and redeem shares.

The structure of several types of investment shares makes it possible to define different mechanisms for profit distribution so that the preferred share of a  fund’s  profits belongs to external investors (preferred investment shares), while a higher share of profits above a certain benchmark provides incentive for the founders (performance investment shares).

We find investors through our own contacts and our current client portfolio as well as through a contractual network of investment intermediaries, investment firms, and banks.

AVANT Flex lets investors create their ownportfolio of investment funds with a total value

starting at 1 million CZK.

As per § 272 of Act No. 240/2013 Coll. On Investment Companies and Investment Funds, only a person with a paid-in deposit or paid-in investment of at least 1 million CZK may become a shareholder or unitholder in a qualified investor fund, either in a single fund or in funds managed by the same manager.

AVANT manages a total of 75 investment funds, offering the widest portfolio of investment funds in the Czech Republic. Investors can choose different assets with varying performance, risk, and timelines and create a flexible portfolio based on a single order.

When investors with available finances in the amount of 1 million CZK consider investing in a qualified investor fund, they have to choose a single fund, which significantly increases decision-making requirements and, above all, risk. Because AVANT Flex allows investors to diversify risk by investing in multiple funds, participating in the profits of different businesses, and engaging in various investment activities, it’s ideally suited to their financial background, investment objectives, and expertise.

Clients can make a qualified investment in only one of the presented funds, or in all of them at the same time.
