Petroleum’s uses

It is used to make gasoline ad some other things to run a lot of our cars and other important things.

Petroleum’s Eff ects

It has a bad effect on earth because it causes global warming which destroys many organisms environment and heats up the earth.

How petroleum is turned into energy It is pumped out of the ground then

burned (with a couple other things) which makes heat and is turned into useable energy.

Coal’s Uses

Coal is used to make electricity for us to use.

Coal’s Effects

Coal has a lot of bad effects especially to the people who work with coal because 24,000 lives are shortened due to it and 2,800 of them were from lung cancer. And burning coal causes global warming.

How coal is used

It is used as a solid fuel through combustion, how this works is coal is burned which turns to steam which turns turbines in a power plant.
