ADMISSION NOTICE . NURSERY (2021.22)

General

1. Admission to NURSERY class for academic session commencing 01April 2021 will be done on the basis of instructions contained in thisn otice.

2. Registration Forms will be available at the School Fee Counter from 9.30AM to 12.30 PM on all days from 01 Dec 2020 to '15 Dec 2020, except 6& 13 December 2020, being holidays. The Registration Form can also bedownloaded from the school website www.stkabir.co.in

3. Only one form per candidate will be accepted. Candidature of any childfor whom more than one form is detected at any stage of the admissionprocess will be summarily cancelled and no representation will beentertai ned thereafter.

Documents Required for Reqistration

4. The following set of documents along with two copies of recent Passportsize photographs and t 100 Registration Fee are required to besubmitted along with the Registration Form.

a) Original Birth Certificate with the child's name written on it.

b) Notarised Photocopy of Birth Certificate - 01

c) Photocopy of Aadhar Card of the child. (if Available) - 01

5. In case applying under Sikh Minority Quota, the oriqinal Sikh MinorityCertificate, issued by the Chandigarh Administration, will also have to besubmitted alonq with one notarized copy thereof at the time of submittinqthe Reqistration form (Sample Attached).

6. Registration will not be done if the set of documents is notcomplete.

7. Registration Form along with all supporting documents can be depositedat the School Fee Counter from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM on all days from 01Dec 2020 to 15 Dec 2020, except 6 and 13 December 2020, beingho lid ays.

8. A Registration Form is liable to be rejected in case of incomplete orincorrect information and no representation will be entertained thereafter.

9. Submission of Registration Form is not a guarantee of admission.Ase Eliqibilitv

l0.Candidate must be born between 1't April 2016 and 31't March 2012(both davs inclusivel. Certificate issued by the office of Registrar(Births and Deaths) will be the only acceptable proof for date of birth.Hospital report, affidavit or similar legal documents will not beentertained. Please note, there will be no relaxation whatsoever in agecriterion.

Availabilitv of Seats

11.Total no. of Seats available for admission in NURSERY class are 90(Ninetv).

Selection Griteria

12. Admission will be given to candidates belonging to the following_ categories:

a.) SIBLINGS : (Real brothers / sisters) of students presently studyingin St Kabir Public School, Chandigarh

b.) CHILDREN OF ALUMNI : Child / Ward (legally adopted) of exstudents of St Kabir Public School, Chandigarh (Ex students whohave passed out from Class X.)

c ) SIKH MINORITY QUOTAi) Twentv Percent (18 seats) are reserved for children belonging to

Sikh Minority. Parents desirous of availing this privilege for theirchild / ward are required to submit a notarized copy of SikhMinority Certificate issued by Chandigarh Administration statingthat the family professes Sikh religion (See Point 5 above).

ii) The Sikh Children admitted under sibling category (Point 12 (a)above) and alumni category (Point 12 (b) above) will also becounted as a part of the total quota for Sikh Children for thepurpose of calculating the quota of 20% (19 seats).

iii)ln case the number of candidates who have applied under "SikhMinority Quota" exceeds eighteen, the admissions will be done bydraw of lots. All twin cases will be considered toqether foradmission. ln case the eighteenth slip picked under ilre SitfrMinority Quota, is of a twin case, then both the children will beaccommodated and the total seats under Sikh Minority Quota willbe nineteen.

iv) Draw of lots for the Sikh Minority Quota will be held first, followedby the draw of lots for the General Category.

v) Unsuccessful candidates in draw for Sikh Minority Quota shall beincluded in the draw of lots for the Generar category.

vi)Parents of Sikh children may choose to apply under GeneralCategory only. However, choice once made will be irrevocable andsuch candidates will not be included in the draw of lots of SikhMinority Quota.

d. ) General Gateqorvi) This will comprise the balance candidates, i,e. all individuals

who do not fall under point No. 12 - category (a), (b) and (c)

ii) The admissions for General Category will be done through drawof lots.

iii) AII twin cases will be considered toqether for admission. lncase the last slip picked under the General Category, is of a twincase, then both the children will be accommodated and the totalseats under General category will increase by one seat.

iv)Draw of lots for the Sikh Minority Quota will be held first,followed by the draw of lots for the General category.

v) Thus there is a possibility of the total number of seats to beincreased to 92 (Ninety Two) in the eventuality of twin cases

coming up in the last draw of Sikh Minority Quota as well asGeneral Category.

vi) The automatic creation of seats to accommodate a twin in thelast slip drawn will not imply a permanent increase in number ofseats next year onwards for regular admissions of Sikh Minorityor General Category in Nursery class. This rule will be appliedonly when the slip of a twin case is drawn in the last draw of theQuota / Category.

Draw of Lots

13. The Draw of Lots will take place on the stage in the school playground.Due to Pandemic constraints, this Draw of Lots is likely to be done viavideo conferencing. Representative of the Directorate of Education, UTAdministration, Chandigarh will be invited to the venue as observer.Parents will be able to follow the Draw of Lots via video conference forwhich the link will be sent only to the mobile number mentioned on theRegistration Form. On the other hand, in case restrictions are lifted byUT Administration, Chandigarh, parents will be allowed to be presentat the venue during the draw. (Entry from the rear gate of theschool).

14. In case allowed to be present at the venue, parents must bring theRegistration Slip issued to them by the school and entry will berestricted to parents only (No friends or relatives will be permittedentry to the premises.)

15. Parents of Candidates under cateoorv (a) and (b) are not requiredto attend the draw of lots.

16. Candidates are not required to accompanv their parents.

17. The draw will commence at 3.15 PM on 'l5th January 2021 .

18. The Registration Number of the candidates whose slip is drawnannounced during the draw.

Declaration of Result

19. The consolidated list of selected candidates will be notified on the school websiteand it will also be displayed on a Notice Board placed outside the school gate after5.00 PM on the same day.

20. A Waiting List of twenty candidates will be prepared during the Draw of Lots andthe same will also be displayed on the school Notice Board & Website.

Admission Formalities

21. The admission formalities (including payment of fee) must be completed on anyworking day from 18 Jan to 08 Feb 2021 between 09.30 AM and 12.30 PM.Failure to complete the Admission formalities shall result in automaticforfeiture of the seat. No extension of time for completing admissionformalities will be given

22. The Original list of candidates will be closed on 0B Feb and from 09 Feb onwards,candidates on the Waiting List will be invited for admission.

23. Parents of selected candidates must submit the Transfer Certificate from theschool previouslv attended latest by 0'1 April 2021.
