A brilliant, versatile writing that showcases one's personal traits has gradually become the"frontier par excellence" for a successful application.

A holistic portfolio requires a calibrated choice of appropriate internships, job attachments, academicexcellence, good performance in external competitions, and relevant community projects.

From college selection, acceptance statistics, to appropriate character references, a comprehensivestrategy lays the groundwork for a successful application.

The likes of Oxford, Cambridge may not require a perfect score. Very often, it is important to be well prepared for entrance tests like the LNAT, TSA, BMAT, which are decisive in admissions.

Articulate presentation skills, a keen sense of logic, and ability to perform under pressure are key tooutperforming peers in the make or break interview stage.

Q1: Which mentoring phase should I subscribe to? A1: It depends on the age of entry, the desired course, and the student's strength.Competitive courses like medicine, law, and Oxbridge courses require a strong portfolioand each of our mentoring programmes are constructed to your advantage. We highlyrecommend Headstart Mentoring as a start. Q2: If I sign up for two programmes (Personal Statement and Entrance Tests), do theyrun concurrently or consecutively ? A2: The courses can be held either concurrently or consecutively at your convenience. Q3: Can I sign up for the Personal Statement programme without Headstart Mentoring? A3: Yes. The courses are independent. Headstart Mentoring provides coaching but not co-editing of the personal statement, which is covered in the Personal Statement Programme. Q4: How many students have got into the university they wanted through QC? A4: QC has helped over one hundred students to get admission offers from schools oftheir choice.

University applications are increasingly competitive. Admission rates to top schools like Stanford/M.I.Tor Oxford/Cambridge are under 10%. Admissions advisory has become par excellence for many students

to get every advantage possible. Mentors will brainstorm, review, and edit the admissions essay(UCAS/Common App/Local) to suit each applicant's target school and course.

College Selection (Safety, Reach, Dream Schools)Strategic college and course selection are key to a successful application. They determine thelikelihood of a direct acceptance, conditional offer, or outright rejection. QC analyses admissionsstatistics, individual colleges and faculty, and provides expert recommendation to optimise selectionfor the best chance of success. Personal StatementMentors will brainstorm, guide, develop, and edit the personal statement with each candidate. Wework on an unlimited hours basis - the essay goes through 10 to 20 rounds of editing prior to finalsubmission.

Specialised tests play a crucial role in university admissions. Without meeting the minimum score,

candidates usually cannot be considered for further selection rounds. It is a challenge to prepare forspecialised tests considering each candidate's academic workload. Hence, key guidance, content, and

pedagogy by QC mentors are instrumental in shortening the learning curve.

Mentoring Objectives

Country Specific (SAT I, II, ISAT)The USA Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) and the Australian International Student AdmissionsTest (ISAT) are examples of country-specific tests. Some top universities require a score of >1500 forSAT I, the 99th percentile. Mentors will review all components of like reading, writing, andmathematics. Course Specific (LNAT/BMAT/UKCAT/NSAA)Some courses have further admission testing to gauge each applicant's aptitude. For instance, UKlaw schools require the LNAT, and UK medical schools require the UKCAT. Some of these tests canbe exceedingly tough (Olympiad level) and require candidates to work out answers from firstprinciples. Mentors will review all components of the tests, including academic content and criticalthinking skills.
