Ziyarah of

Imam al-Husáin

(A) on the

1st, 15th Rajab

Kindly recite Sura E Fatiha for Marhumeen of all those who have worked towards making this small work possible.

This Ziarat is for 1st, 15th Rajab and 15th

Shaabaan. It is related from Imam Sadiq (a) that

one who performs the Ziarat of Imam Husain (a)

on 1st Rajab would be forgiven by Alláh. It is

narrated from Ibne Abi Nasr that he asked Imam

Reza (a) what was the best time for the Ziarat of

Imam Husain (a). He (a) replied: 15th Rajab and

15th Shaabaan.

Shaykh Mufeed (a.r.) and Sayyid Ibne Taaoos (r.a.)

have mentioned that this Ziarat is for 1st Rajab

and 15th Shaabaan, but Shaheed (r.a.) has

prescribed it for 1st eve of Rajab, eve and day of

15th Rajab and 15th Shaabaan.

Ziyárah of Imám Husáin (a.s.) on 1st, 15th Rajab and 15th Shaábaan

Thus according to him this Ziarat is for six

occasions. The method of this Ziarat is :

When you want to perform the Ziarat of Imam

Husain (a) on these occasions, perform ghusl,

wear ritually pure clothes and stand at the door

of the holy Shrine facing the qibla and salute the

Holy Prophet (s), Imam Ali (a), Hazrat Fatemah

(a.s.), Imam Hasan (a) and Imam Husain (a) and

other Imams (a). After this recite the dua for

permission to enter and then enter. Stand near

the Zari and say ALLAAHO AKBAR 100 times.

Then recite:.



دو لم محم داللهم صل على محم

O Alláh bless Muhammad and the family

of Muhammad.

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'aali Muhammad


ميمم بمسمم اللهم الرحمنم الرحم

In the name of Alláh the Beneficent, the

Merciful.

bismi allahi alrrahman alrrahimi


لم اللهم السالم علميك ميابن رس

Peace be upon you; O the son of Alláh’s

Messenger.

alssalamu `alayka yabna rasuli allahi


تمم النبمميمين السالم علميك ميابن خا

Peace be upon you; O the son of the seal

of the Prophets.

alssalamu `alayka yabna khatami alnnabiyyina


مي دم المرسلممين السالم علميك ميابن س

Peace be upon you; O the son of the

master of all the Messengers.

alssalamu `alayka yabna sayyidi almursalina


ميمين السالم علميك ميابن س مي دم ال صم

Peace be upon you; O the son of the

master of the Prophets’ successors.

alssalamu `alayka yabna sayyidi alwasiyyina


اللهم السالم علميك ميا أبا ع ب دم

Peace be upon you; O Aba-Àbdillah.

alssalamu àlayka ya aba àbdillahi


ن بن علمي السالم علميك ميا حسمي

Peace be upon you; O al-Husayn ibn Àli.

alssalamu àlayka ya husaynu ibna àliyyin


مة سمي دةم نم السالم علميك ميابن ف ساءم اطممين العالمم

Peace be upon you; O the son of Fatimah;

the leader of the women of the worlds.

alssalamu `alayka yabna fatimata sayyidati nisa'i al`alamina


هم اللهم ابن لممي السالم علميك ميا لمي

Peace be upon you; O the intimate friend

of Alláh and the son of His intimate

friend.

alssalamu `alayka ya waliyya allahi wabna waliyyihi


اللهم ابن السالم علميك ميا صفمي صفمميهم

Peace be upon you; O the sincere servant

of Alláh and the son of His sincere

servant.

alssalamu `alayka ya safiyya allahi wabna safiyyihi


ة تمهم اللهم ابن حج السالم علميك ميا حج

Peace be upon you; O the evident proof of

Alláh and the son of His evident proof.

alssalamu `alayka ya hujjata allahi wabna hujjatihi


اللهم ابن السالم علميك ميا حبمميب حبمميبمهم

Peace be upon you; O the dearest beloved

by Alláh and the son of His dearest

beloved.

alssalamu `alayka ya habiba allahi wabna habibihi


اللهم ابن السالم علميك ميا سفممير سفمميرمهم

Peace be upon you; O the representative

of Alláh and the son of His representative.

alssalamu `alayka ya safira allahi wabna safirihi


ن ا لكمتابم السالم علميك ميا خازمالمسط رم

Peace be upon you; O the custodian of the

record wherein deeds are put in black and

white!

alssalamu `alayka ya khazina alkitabi almasturi


ن السالم علميك ميا ارمث ا ميلم لت راةم اإلم جم الزب رم

Peace be upon you; O the inheritor of the

Tawrayt, Injeel, and Zuboor.

alssalamu `alayka ya waritha alttawrati wal-injili walzzaburi


مين ا لرحمنم السالم علميك ميا أمم

Peace be upon you; O the trustee of the

All-beneficent Alláh.

alssalamu `alayka ya amina alrrahmani


رنم السالم علميك ميا شرمميك ال

Peace be upon you; O the part and parcel

of the Holy Qurán.

alssalamu `alayka ya sharika alqur'ani


ل دمينم السالم علميك ميا عم د ا

Peace be upon you; O the pivot of the

religion of Alláh.

alssalamu `alayka ya `amuda alddini


كمةم رب السالم علميك ميا باب حم مين العالمم

Peace be upon you; O the door to the

wisdom of the Lord of the worlds.

alssalamu `alayka ya baba hikmati rabbi al`alamina


ي من السالم علميك ميا باب حم طةو الذمنممين ن اآلمم دخله كان مم

Peace be upon you; O the door of

Forgiveness; he who enters from this door

will be of the secured ones.

alssalamu `alayka ya baba hittatin alladhi man dakhalahu kana min

al-aminina


لمم اللهم السالم علميك ميا عميبة عم

Peace be upon you; O the treasure of the

divine knowledge .

alssalamu àlayka ya àybata ìlmi allahi


ع ر اللهم السالم علميك ميا م ضم سم

Peace be upon you; O the depository of

the confidential and privileged matters of

Alláh.

alssalamu `alayka ya mawdi`a sirri allahi


هم ابن ثارمهم السالم علميك ميا ثار الل ال متر الم ت ر

Peace be on you; O he whose blood-claimer is Alláh, He is the blood-claimer of your father also, as those who persecuted you, their relatives and friends have not

been punished for their crimes.

alssalamu `alayka ya thara allahi wabna tharihi walwitra almawtura


ت ر احم التمي حل السالم علميك على ال لمك بمفمنائمك أناخت بمرح

Peace be upon you and upon the souls

that resided in your yard and joined your

journey.

alssalamu `alayka wa `ala al-arwahi allati hallat bifina'ika wa anakhat

birahlika


ي ميا أبا عب دم بمأبمي أنت أمي نف اللهم سم

May Alláh accept my father, my mother,

and myself as ransoms for you; O Aba-

`Abdillah.

bi'abi anta wa ummi wa nafsi ya aba `abdillahi


ميبة د عظمتم المصم مي ل زم ة بمك جلتم الرميعم أه سالمم علمينا على جمم لم اإلم

O Aba-Àbdillah, unbearable is the sorrow;

never-racking is the agony you put up

with for us and for all (true) Muslims.

laqad àzumat almusibatu wa jallat alrraziyyatu bika àlaynawa àla

jamiì ahli al-islami


ت أساس الظلمم فلعن الله أمة أسس بميتم الج رم علميكم أهل ال

Curse of Alláh be on the people who laid

the basis of wronging and injustice

against you; the Household of the

Prophet.

fala`ana allahu ummatan assasat asasa alzulmi waljawri `alaykum

ahla albayti


ك لعن الله أمة دفعت امم م كم عن م

And curse of Alláh be upon the people

who removed you from your position

wa laàna allahu ummatan dafaàtkum àn maqamikum


م الله م التمي رتبك أزالتكم عن مراتمبمك فمميها

And took you away from your actual ranks

that Alláh chose for you.

wa azalatkum `an maratibikum allati rattabakum allahu fiha


ي ميا أبا عب دم بمأبمي أنت أمي نف اللهم سم

May Alláh accept my father, my mother,

and me as ransoms for you, O Aba-

`Abdillah.

bi'abi anta wa ummi wa nafsi ya aba `abdillahi


دم اقشعرت لة أشه د ل مائمكم أظم العرشم لم دملةم الخالئمقم مع أظم

I bear witness that the shades of the

Divine Throne shared the shades of the

creatures in shuddering for the bloodshed

of you.

ashhadu laqad iqshaàrrat lidima'ikum azillatu alàrshi maà azillati

alkhala'iqi


نانم ض سكان الجم بكتكم السماء الر البر البحرم

And the heavens and the earth and the

inhabitants of the gardens of Paradise, the

lands, and the oceans—all those wept for

you.

wa bakatkum alssama'u wal-ardu wa sukkanu aljinani walbarri

walbahri


لمم اللهم صلى الله علميك ع د د ما فمي عم

May Alláh shower upon you blessings as

many as the number of what is there in the

knowledge of Alláh.

salla allahu àlayka àdada ma fi ìlmi allahi


ي اللهم لبميك داعم

Here I am at your service; O the caller to

Alláh.

labbayka da`iya allahi


بك ب دنم ن د استمغاث إمن كان لم ميجم تمك ي عمن د استمنص ارمك لمسانمي عم

If my body could not respond to your call

when you called for aid, and my tongue

could not respond to your call for help,

in kana lam yujibka badani `inda istighathatika wa lisani `inda

istinsarika


د أجابك قلبمي س ي بصرمي ف معم

Verily, my heart, my hearing, and my sight

have responded to you.

faqad ajabaka qalbi wa sam`i wa basari


!فع ل ع د ربنا لم سبحان ربنا إمن كان

Glory be to our Lord! most surely, the

promise of our Lord was to be fulfilled.

subhana rabbina in kana wa`du rabbina lamaf`ulan


ر ن ط أشه د أنك طهر طاهم هرو مطهر ممطاهمرو مطهرو

I bear witness that you are pure,

immaculate, and purified; and the

offspring of the pure, immaculate, and

purified ones.

ashhadu annaka tuhrun tahirun mutahharun min tuhrin tahirin

mutahharin


ال د طهرت طهرت بمك البم

You are indeed pure, and you are the

source of the purity of the lands.

tahurta wa tahurat bika albiladu


.ا طهر حرمك طهرت أرض أنت بمه

And pure is the land where you are, and

pure is your holy mausoleum.

wa tahurat ardun anta biha wa tahura haramuka


مسطم الع دلم أشه د أنك ق د أمرت بم الما دع ت إملميهم

I bear witness that you enjoined justice

and fairness and you called to them.

ashhadu annaka qad amarta bilqisti wal`adli wa da`awta ilayhima


ق صم دميق ص ت دقت فمميما دع أنك صا دمإملميهم

And you are verily honest and veracious,

and you were truthful in that for which you

called.

wa annaka sadiqun siddiqun sadaqta fima da`awta ilayhi


ضم أنك ثار اللهم فمي الر

And you are verily (the object of) Alláh’s

vengeance on the earth.

wa annaka tharu allahi fi al-ardi


ت عنم اللهم أشه د أنك ق د بلغ

And I bear witness that you did convey on

behalf of Alláh

wa ashhadu annaka qad ballaghta `an allahi


عن ج دك رس لم اللهم

And on behalf of your grandfather, the

Messenger of Alláh,

wa `an jaddika rasuli allahi


ميرم المؤمم نممين عن أبمميك أمم

And on behalf of your father, the

Commander of the Believers,

wa `an abika amiri almu'minina


ميك الحسنم عن أخم

And on behalf of your brother, al-Hasan.

wa `an akhika alhasani


بمميلم اللهم نصحت جاه دت فمي س

And you advised and you strove in the

way of Alláh,

wa nasahta wa jahadta fi sabili allahi


ممين عب دته مخلمصا حت ى أتاك المي

And you served Him sincerely until death

came upon you.

wa `abadtahu mukhlisan hatta ataka alyaqinu


ممين فجزاك الله خمير جزاءم السابم

So, may Alláh award you with the best of

the rewarding of the foremost (to deeds of

goodness).

fajazaka allahu khayra jaza'i alssabiqina


.لم تسلمميما صلى الله علميك س

And may Alláh bless and exalt you

thoroughly.

wa salla allahu `alayka wa sallama tasliman


ل دو لم محم دو ص اللهم صل على محم على الحسمينم المظل مم

O Alláh: (please) send blessings upon

Muhammad and the Household of

Muhammad , and send blessings upon al-

Husayn, the wronged,

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin wa salli `ala

alhusayni almazlumi


مي دم مي دم الرشم الشهم

The martyr, the orthodox,

alshshahidi alrrashidi


قتمميلم العبراتم

The slain one whom is wept heavily,

qatili al`abarati


ميرم الكرباتم أسم

And the object of agonies,

wa asiri alkurubati


مية زاكممية مب اركة صالة نامم

Blessings that are increasing, growing,

and sacred;

salatan namiyatan zakiyatan mubarakatan


لها ل مينف رهاميصع د أ د خم

The first of which ascends and the last of

which is infinite,

yas`adu awwaluha wa la yanfadu akhiruha


ن أ ل دم أفضل ما صلميت على أح دو ممأنبمميائمك المرسلممين

the best blessings that You ever sent on

any of Your missioned Prophets’ sons.

afdala ma sallayta `ala ahadin min awladi anbiya'ika almursalina


مين .ميا إمله العالمم

O the God of the worlds.

ya ilaha al`alamina

Now kiss the holy grave and place

your right cheek on the grave, then

place your left cheek upon it, circle

the grave and kiss all around it.

Shaykh Mufeed (a.r.) says: After this

go to the grave of Ali ibn al-Husain

(a.s.) and standing at his grave recite:



دميق الطميب السالم علميك أميها الص

Peace be upon you; O the veracious, the

pure,

alssalamu `alayka ayyuha alssiddiqu alttayyibu


ر ب الزكمي الحبمميب الم

The immaculate, the dear, the favorite,

alzzakiyyu alhabibu almuqarrabu


هم ابن رميحانةم رس لم الل

The son of the basil of Alláh’s Messenger.

wabna rayhanati rasuli allahi


مي ن شهم بو السالم علميك مم دو محتسم

Peace be upon you; as you are steadfast

martyr;

alssalamu `alayka min shahidin muhtasibin


رحمة اللهم بركاته

Alláh’s mercy and blessings be upon you.

wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu


امك أشرف لبك ما أكرم م من

How noble is your position and how

honorable is your seat.

ma akrama maqamaka wa ashrafa munqalabaka


د شكر الله سعميك أشه د ل

I bear witness that Alláh thanked you for

your efforts,

ashhadu laqad shakara allahu sa`yaka


أجزل ث ابك

And He magnified your rewards,

wa ajzala thawabaka


ك بمالذر ةم الع المميةم ألح

And he joined you to the exalted summit

wa alhaqaka bildhdharwati al`aliyati


رفم حميث الشرف كل الش

Where there is the entire honor

haythu alshsharafu kullu alshsharafi


ميةم فمي الغرفم السامم

In the elevated chambers.

wa fi alghurafi alssamiyati


ن قب ن أ كما من علميك مم هلم ل جعلك ممالبميتم

Similarly, He had bestowed upon you and

made you one of the Household of the

Prophet

kama manna `alayka min qablu wa ja`alaka min ahli albayti


مين أذهب الله عنه رهم م الرجس طه الذمميرا تطهم

From whom Alláh removed filth and whom

He purified with thorough purification.

alladhina adhhaba allahu `anhum alrrijsa wa tahharahum tathiran


ركاته حمة اللهم ب صل ات اللهم علميك ر رمض انه

Alláh’s blessings and mercy and

benedictions and pleasure be upon you.

salawatu allahi `alayka wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu wa

ridwanuhu


ر إملى رب فاشفع أميها السمي د ك الطاهم

So, O the pure master; (please) intercede

for me before your Lord

fashfa` ayyuha alssayyidu alttahiru ila rabbika


الم عن ظه ها رمي تخفمميفم فمي حط الثعني

So that He may unburden and relieve me

from the loads (of sins) that I carry on my

back.

fi hatti al-athqali `an zahri wa takhfifiha `anni


ي ل أبمميك ك لملسمي دم ارحم ذلي خض عم.صلى الله علميكما

And (please) have mercy upon my

humbleness and submission to you and to

the master, your father. May Alláh bless

you both.

warham dhulli wa khudu`i laka wa lilssayyidi abika salla allahu

`alaykuma

Touch your body to the holy grave

and say:



رةم زا د الله فمي شرفمكم فم ي اآلخم

May Alláh increase your honor in the

Hereafter

zada allahu fi sharafikum fi al-akhirati


ميا كما شرفكم فمي ال دن

In the same way as He honored you in this

world

kama sharrafakum fi alddunya


كم أسع دكم كما أسع د بم

And may He bless you in the same way as

He blessed others on account of you.

wa as`adakum kama as`ada bikum


دمينم أشه د أنكم أعالم ال

And I bear witness that you are the

signposts of the religion

wa ashhadu annakum a`lamu alddini


مين نج م العالمم

And the stars of the worlds.

wa nujumu al`alamina


.ه ة اللهم بركات السالم علميكم رحم

Peace and Alláh’s mercy and blessings be

upon you.

wa alssalamu `alaykum wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu

After this turn your attention to the

other holy martyrs of Kerbala

(Ganj-e-Shahidan ) and say:



ار اللهم السالم علميكم ميا أنص

Peace be upon you (all); O the supporters

of Alláh

alssalamu `alaykum ya ansara allahi


أنصار رس لمهم

And the supporters of His Messenger,

wa ansara rasulihi


ي طالمبو أنصار علمي بنم أبم

And the supporters of `Ali ibn Abi-Talib

wa ansara `aliyyi ibni abi talibin


مة أنصار فاطم

And the supporters of Fatimah,

wa ansara fatimata


مينم أنصار الحسنم الحس

And the supporters of

al-Hasan and al-Husayn,

wa ansara alhasani walhusayni


سالمم أنصار اإلم

And the supporters of Islam.

wa ansara al-islami


د نص حتم لملهم أشه د أنكم ل

I bear witness that you indeed did

sincerely for the sake of Alláh,

ashhadu annakum laqad nasahtum lillahi


جاه دتم فمي سبمميلمهم

And you strove sincerely in His way.

wa jahadtum fi sabilihi


س ضل المم أهلمهم أف فجزاكم الله عنم اإلمالجزاءم

So, may Alláh reward you on behalf of

Islam and its people with the best of

rewarding.

fajazakum allahu `an al-islami wa ahlihi afdala aljaza'i


ميما فزتم اللهم ف زا عظم

By Alláh I swear, you did win a great

success.

fuztum wallahi fawzan `aziman


فأف ز ف زا ميا لميتنمي كنت معكم ميما عظم

I whish I were with you so that I would win

a great success.

ya laytani kuntu ma`akum fa'afuza fawzan `aziman


ق ن ن د ربكم ترز أشه د أنكم أحمياء عم

I bear witness that you are alive with your

Lord, receiving sustenance.

ashhadu annakum ahya'un `inda rabbikum turzaquna


السع داء أشه د أنكم الشه داء

I bear witness that you are the true

martyrs and the true happy ones.

ashhadu annakumu alshshuhada'u walssu`ada'u


رجاتم العلى أنكم الفائمز ن فمي د

And you are the winners in the most

elevated ranks.

wa annakumu alfa'izuna fi darajati al`ula


.ه ة اللهم بركات السالم علميكم رحم

Peace and Alláh’s mercy and blessings be

upon you.

wa alssalamu `alaykum wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu

After this come back and stand at

the side of holy head of the Imam's

grave and pray 2 rakaat Salaat al

Hadiya Ziyarat (like Salaat al-Fajr)

and pray for self, parents and other

believers.

O Alláh bless Muhammad and the family

of Muhammad.

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'aali Muhammad
