OverviewThe 21 day experience provides you the opportunity of two weeks getting involved in the local communities around Fisherman’s Rest and then three nights at Majete Game Reserve where in addition to taking part in game drives to get up close and personal to the Wildlife you will also support Majete Game Reserve with their conservation projects The conservation activities are run by the park and consist of animal tracking, surveys, waterhole counts or invasive species removal etc. Local community projects will be as varied as running a holiday club, working in the local library helping children read English books, repair water pumps, help the nursery team look after trees, making bricks, organising football, playing games, serving porridge and singing songs.

You will have the chance to see these places in an active way, by stand-up paddle boarding 24 miles down the Amazon; hiking in the pristine rainforest; and canoeing to a local Kichwa community. You will be wild camping at the edge of the Amazon and spending a night staying with local families. We will help you to discover the bond that exists between nature and the local people.
