‘Rescue and restore children by establishing families, instilling hope

and preparing them for the future.’

Our organisation, ‘Mind the Gap – Africa’, under Bulawayo Baptist Church wants to. . .

Page 3: Zimbabwe 2014

We have 17 children who have been orphaned or abandoned

living in a Family ‘Forever’ Home.

Meet Jeffrey We took him into our third

home from a large institution

of 40 children.

In the institution he was unhappy and never smiled

After one week of being with us, in a home with a mummy and seven brothers and sisters he changed and is now a happy little lad.

8% of the population of Zimbabwe are orphaned or abandoned children. . .

that’s around 1.2 million children

What more can we do?

Page 10: Zimbabwe 2014

We have bought a 30 acre farm on which to build a Children’s Village.

The farmhouse

We are hoping to build 12 of these houses to home 8 children in

each

The gardens

Page 15: Zimbabwe 2014

We need to farm and rear animals and become as self sufficient as possible

And the children need to learn the skills they need to survive

Page 16: Zimbabwe 2014

We now have 400 layers and are selling eggs to raise money to care

for the children.
