Zlhajj DhulHijjah Month- From Mafatih Ul JinanIn the blessed month of Dhu’l-°i jjah, t he pious companio ns of the Holy Pro phet and their follower s used to do many acts of worship . The first ten days of this month are called al-ayy¡m al-ma`l£m¡t(The Stated Days) by the Holy Qur'¡n. ( About these highly honorable days, the Holy Prophet (¥) is reported to have said that nothing is more preferable to Al mighty Allah than practicing acts of worship on these ten stated days. irst : It is rec omme nded to observe fasting on the f irs t nine days of Dhu’l-°i jjah, f or it is equal to the f asting of one’s whole lifetime.Second : At each of these ten nights, it is recommended to offer a two unit prayer between the Maghrib and `I sh¡' obligatory prayer s and to recite at each unit S£rah al-F¡ti¦ahonce, S£rah al-Taw¦¢donce, and the following verse (7/142):The rewar d of of fering this pray er is to par tici pate in the rewar ds of those who go on °ajj .Third : It is recommended to say the following prayer, which is re ported by Shaykh al-±£s¢ and Sayyid Ibn ±¡w£s from Imam Ja`f ar al -¯¡diq (`a), aft er the obli gatory Fajr and Maghrib Prayers since the first day of Dhu’l-°i jjah and up to the ev e of the `Araf¡t Night, the ninth of Dhu’l-°i jjah: Mp3Ppt file ﹰ ﹶﺔ ﻠﻴ ﹶﻦﻴﺛﹶ ﻼ ﹶ ﻰ ﻮﺳ ﻣ ﺎ ﹶ ﺪ ﺍﻋ ﻭ ﻭwa w¡`and¡ m£s¡ thal¡th¢na laylatanAnd We appointed with Moses a time of thirty nights ﺍ ﻭ ﹾﺮ ﺸ ﻌ ﺎ ﻫ ﺎ ﹶ ﻨ ﻤ ﹾﻤwa atmamn¡h¡ bi`ashrinand completed them with ten more, ﺍ ﻪ ﺭ ﹸ ﺕ ﺎ ﹶﻘ ﻴ ﻣ ﻢ ﹶﺘ ﹶ ﻓ ﹶﺔ ﻠﻴ ﹶ ﻦﻴ ﻌ ﺭfatamma m¢q¡tu rabbih¢ arba`¢na laylatan so the appointed time of his Lord was complete forty nights, ﻻ ﻰ ﺳ ﻮ ﻣ ﹶ ﻝ ﺎ ﹶ ﻗ ﻭ ﻭﻥ ﺭ ﺎ ﻫ ﻴﻪ ﺧ ﻲ ﻣ ﻮ ﹶ ﻗ ﻲ ﻓ ﻲﻨ ﹾ ﹸﻔﻠ ﹾ ﺧ ﭐwa q¡la m£s¡ li'akh¢ hi h¡r£na ikhlufn¢ f¢ qawm¢and Moses said to his brother Aaron: Take my place among my people, ﺍ ﻭ ﹶ ﻴﻞ ﺒ ﺳ ﻊﺒ ﱠﺘ ﹶ ﹶ ﻻ ﻭ ﺢﻠ ﹾ ﺻ ﻦ ﻳ ﺪ ﺴ ﹾ ﻔ ﻤ ﹾ ﭐwa a¥li¦ wa l¡ tattabi` sab¢la almufsid¢na and act well and do not follow the way of the mischief-makers. ﻻ ﭐ ﻩ ﺬ ﻫ ﻢ ﻬ ﱠﻠ ﻟ ﹶ ﺎ ﻬ ﹶﺘ ﹾ ﱠﻠ ﻀ ﹶ ﻓ ﻲﺘﱠ ﭐﻡ ﺎ ﻻ ﭐ ﻰ ﹶ ﻠ ﻋ ﻬ ﹶﺘ ﹾ ﻓ ﺮ ﹶ ﺷ ﻭﻡ ﺎall¡humma h¡dhih¢ al-ayy¡mu allat¢ fa¤¤altah¡ `al¡ al- ayy¡mi wa sharraftah¡O Allah, these days that You have preferred and favored on other days, ﻚ ﺘ ﻤ ﺣ ﺭ ﻭ ﻚ ﱢ ﻨ ﻤ ﺎ ﻬ ﻴﻨ ﹶﺘ ﹾ ﻐ ﱠ ﻠ ﺪ ﹶ ﻗqad ballaghtan¢h¡ bimannika wa ra¦matikaYou have allowed me to attain them out of Your favor and mercy ;ﺎ ﹶ ﻓ ﻚﺎﹶ ﻛ ﺮ ﻦ ﻣ ﺎ ﹶ ﻨﻴ ﹶ ﻠ ﻋ ﹾ ﻝ ﺰ ﹾfa'anzil `alayn¡ min barak¡tikaso, (please) descend on us Your blessings ﺍ ﻭ ﻚ ﺎ ﻤ ﻌ ﹶ ﻦ ﻣ ﺎ ﻬ ﻴ ﻓ ﺎ ﹶ ﻨﻴ ﹶ ﻠ ﻋ ﻊ ﺳ ﻭwa awsi` `alayn¡ f¢h¡ min na`m¡'ikaand expand for us Your boons. ﺍ ﻲ ﱢ ﻢ ﻬ ﱠﻠ ﻟ ﹶ ﺳ ﻚ ﹸ ﻰ ﹶ ﻠ ﻋ ﻲ ﱢﻠ ﹶ ﺼ ﹸ ﻥ ﺪ ﻤ ﺤ ﻣ ﻝ ﺁ ﻭ ﺪ ﻤ ﺤ ﻣall¡humma inn¢ as'aluka an tu¥alliya `al¡ mu¦ammadin wa ¡li mu¦ammadinO Allah, I beseech you to send blessings to Mu¦ammad and the Household of Mu¦ammad ﺍ ﻭ ﻯ ﺪ ﭐﹾﻬ ﻞ ﻴ ﺒ ﺴ ﺎ ﻬ ﻴ ﻓ ﺎ ﹶ ﻨ ﺪ ﻬ ﹶ ﻥwa an tahdiyan¡ f ¢h¡ lisab¢l i alhud¡and to guide us on these days to the path of guidance,Page 1
