I’m writing this cover letter for my CV to tell my future employers who I am and what I stand
for.
I am currently busy with my Honours Degree in Bcom. International trade at the North West
University of Potchefstroom. While doing my degree in Bcom. Communication Management,
I realised that I do not only have a passion for marketing and communication, but also for
Trade. By taking the opportunity to take additional subject, a managed to do my honours in
what I love.
Academics has always been very important to me. Knowledge is one thing that no one can
take away from you. Therefore I consider myself as a real hard worker which payed off. In
2015 I became a member of the Golden Key International Society and received various
certificates from the International Trade Institute of Southern Africa. From my CV you will
notice that I have obtained multiple skills throughout my years at university. I have not only
flourished from leadership positions, I have been a part of the Student Council Executive
Committee as well as on other committees. I have also done various projects which included
a full marketing campaign for an international known artist as well as communication plans for
different companies.
The ideal company that I would love to be a part of, is one that supports my innovative ideas
as well as giving me the opportunity to never stop gaining skills. I truly believe that teamwork
should be seen as a high priority in any company, as it is the key to ultimate success.

I am an innovative hard worker. Communicating and working with other people is one of my finest abilities. It is a great satisfaction when higher goals are achieved by teamwork. I like to see myself as a responsible person always being professional. I truly believe that with the right attitude, you can achieve any goal. I am therefore dependable, determined, motivated and adaptable. I consist of problem-solving and decision making skills as I pay close attention to detail as it is the building stones of a bigger picture.
3. Career Goals and Objectives
My ideal company is where teamwork is seen as a high priority. I will love to be a part of a big company, as there is always room to improve myself and to work towards promotions. I prefer an international company as I have a great passion for any form of trade. I believe that marketing forms part of every inch of the company, and therefore it is also one of my preferred occupations. I am looking for a company that will offer me the best opportunities to obtain various skills.

3.1. Tertiary Education:
Institution: North West University – Potchefstroom Campus.
Qualification: Honours Baccalaureus Commercii in International trade. Date of completion: End of 2016.
Qualification: Bachelor of Commercii Communication Management (Cum Laude). Date of completion: End of 2015.
During my degree I found a passion and love for international trade. I therefore took additional subjects to be able to do my honours in International trade.
Additional subjects: Accounting, International Trade Relations, International trade Finance and Payments, International Trade Geography, International trade Business communication, and Economic Analysis.
3.2. Secondary Education:
Institution: Potchefstroom Gymnasium High School.
Qualification: Matriculated with four distinctions. Date of completion: End of 2012.

3.2. Academic Achievements
In 2015 I became a member of the Golden Key International Honours society. In this year I also obtained two ITRISA recognition certificates for academic achievement in international trade. In 2014 I obtained another ITRISA recognition certificates for academic achievement in international trade.
5. Life Experience
In 2015 I was elected to be on the Executive Committee Finances at the NWU, with my portfolio Graphics and Marketing. During this term I developed a lot of skills, including marketing research, planning and organising. I also developed several program skills, like Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator as well as Adobe Photoshop. During this term I was also given the opportunity to organise a Marketing campaign for the internationally known Jeremy Loops show. This contributed to my analytical thinking, leadership and communication skills. In 2015 I wrote a communication plan for a local NGO, Vessels of Mercy as well as a communication plan for Seeff Potchefstroom. This helped me to become more aware of organisation awareness, dedication and a form of responsibility. For the time period 2013 to 2015, I took part in several Residence Serenade and Bingle serenade competitions, this helped me to learn what it is to be committed, to work as a team as well as to be result orientated. I also served as vice-chairman of "Canvas" on the Culture committee where my responsibilities included to arrange the ins and outs. This taught me a form of leadership and delegation. I was also in several Finance and Arts and Culture committees for my Residence. In my first year I also participated in the first year concert where I played a leading role, this contributed to my sense of self-awareness and creativity. In terms of my in Interest and Hobbies, I love to sing, jog and hike. Furthermore I do enjoy to paint or design. Additional skills is MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Outlook. In terms of data collection and sorting software, I have skills in Eviews and STATA.
6. Work Experience
Annelize du Plessis. Annique Beauty Salon.
During the Holidays and on occasional Saturday’s I worked at Annique Beauty Salon. My responsibilities was to do direct sales, to be in charge of the front desk and to do admin. The skills I gained from this occupation was to listen, organise and to instruct. Jaco Bosman. Fine Things Restaurant.
During the University holidays I worked as a door lady for Fine Things. This taught me interpersonal skills and external awareness. Nelis Coetzee. Nelis Coetzee Accountant.
I worked for Mr. Coetzee part-time, doing filing and sorting out the invoice system. The skills gained during this work experience was to be creative and innovative as well as to organise in a very strict matter.
