Also known as ‘The Thoughtful Building’ for its
occupier-focused design, SAS systems have
been installed in Victoria’s Zig Zag Building to
provide user-friendly aesthetic and acoustic
designs. The building is part of a vast portfolio
in Victoria, owned by Land Securities, that
also includes Nova Victoria, 62 Buckingham
Gate, 123 Victoria Street, Cardinal Place and
Wellington House.
Jupiter Asset Management have made
Floors 7–9 its London base taking 56,000
sq ft on a 20 year lease. It makes a perfect
headquarters, situated in the heart of London
with multiple transport links and in close
proximity to St James Park.
A triangular SAS System 200 ceiling has
been specified in servery areas with a
contemporary grey finish (RAL 7045) and
offset square trapezoidal flanged apertures
for lighting. In the entrance hall and seating
areas, a linear System 720 ceiling was installed
to mirror office walkways and provide a
striking feature ceiling. System 330 Linear
enhances the bright and open office spaces
while corridor areas benefit from an acoustic
lined System 320.
With a BREEAM Excellent rating, the
construction uses rain water and photovoltaic
panels as part of its green credentials. The
unique traversing façade of the building,
designed by Lynch Architects, not only gives
name to the building but also creates more
space for pedestrians on Victoria Street.
Occupants can enjoy seven private terraces,
cycle park and concierge service.
