Physical Channel Conclusions Communication works quite well under laboratory conditions
Most newer technologies are not yet ready for SE deployment
Yes, switched power supplies and certain devices affect thecommunication and the system is dynamic and unpredictable
Filtering helps a lot
Communication at peak times, in dirty environments and
between separated circuits are problems

There is still work to do and some issues needto be solved until we get there Lets do it!
Conclusions
Reliability, low cost and ease-of-use are crucial
One of the strengths of ZigBee is the SE-Profile
PLC may solve Basement-Access-Problem
Combining ZigBee RF with PLC (or other media?) Increases accessibility and reliability
Creates new opportunities on both sides Never underestimate technical challenges resultingout of suboptimal communication media types
First tests with the proposed bridge look promising
In our view SEP V2.0 incl. IPv6 is the way to go
