The inspiration for the City Talk font was architectural elements visible in downtown Columbus OH with the Ohio Statehouse being the main source The letter forms contain visual elements reminiscent of the Doric and Ionic orders of ancient Greek architecture Thick stems similar to columns

curves that mirror the rotunda and echinus sharp angles reminiscent of the pediment and finally thin stems similar to the decorative elements on the frieze

The interior of each letter is filled with unique building silhouettes which when lined up give the appearance of a continual skyline The lack of identifiable buildings allows for the font to be used without an association to a specific city

The aggressive elements such as the gear and grainy thumbs-up were replaced with more inclusive feeling imagery of the globe and circular ribbon The color palette was shifted from the stark yellow purple and black to a more familiar and welcoming combination of warm red baby blue and white

Project Home was a display designed for the 2013 World Cup Qualifying match between USA and Mexico in Columbus OH This match has a storied history in Ohiorsquos capital city and over the course 4 meetings (now including the 2013 game) the United States has won by a scoreline of 2-0

The design harkens back to these matches and features crucial players from each game who also have ties to Columbus It is because of this successful history over Americarsquos greatest soccer rival that many people consider Columbus the home town for US soccer

Operation New Era was designed to be unveiled at the home opener for the 2014 Columbus Crew season With a new owner a new head coach and a large crop of new young and exciting players the team was finally transitioning from the stagnation of the previous era

There was unprecedented levels of hope and excitemnet among the fanbase and in the media The design takes inspiration largely from comic books with dynamic layouts and simplified detailing on the figures It features three young promising players from Ohio as well as

Operation New Era was designed to be unveiled at the home opener for the 2014 Columbus Crew season With a new owner a new head coach and a large crop of new young and exciting players the team was finally transitioning from the stagnation of the previous era

There was unprecedented levels of hope and excitemnet among the fanbase and in the media The design takes inspiration largely from comic books with dynamic layouts and simplified detailing on the figures It features three young promising players from Ohio as well as
