Hill Climbing / Contrast AF

• This method is based on scanning the focus range, and for each image measure the contrast, then go back to the maximum contrast: Focused Image: “hill climbing” algorithm

• If we assume the maximum number of image to scan the full range is 10 to 11 images, the full process (worst case) takes about 12 images to get an frames to get the correct focus

• Performances is directly related to frame rate
