The bed MIUT is reinterpreting a proven sleeping system: the box spring bed. This internationally proven technology from the U.S. was given a new lighter appearance without sacrificing comfort.

MIUT is not superficially opulent, it is soft, slim and subtle. Its unob-trusive appearance draws attention to the subtleties in its visual and tactile details.

froM ZeITraUM: MIUTBox spring beds are the most popular sleep system in North American and Scandinavia. They are therefore often referred to as the Ameri-can bed or Continental bed. Box spring beds are standard in many high class hotels.

As a rule, a box spring bed consists of four elements: the feet, the box spring, a spring mattress and an optional top-per. The feet are necessary to ensure proper ventilation of the bed. On top of the feet rests the lower mattress, also called the box spring. It serves as the spring base for the remaining structure and corresponds to the classic German slatted bed system. The centrepiece of the bed is the box spring mattress also called top mattress. Many box spring beds also contain an additional element, the topper.

Toppers are available in different materials, what is most suitable de-pends on individual sleeping habits.

The mattress of a box spring bed must be a spring mattress to provide the typical, greatly appreciated level of comfort. Mattresses with a core of pocket springs are highly recommended. They consist of numerous, small springs sewn individually into fab-ric pockets. Because the springs are not connected, they respond to pressure independently and adjust

optimally to the body. It is why this is referred to as point elasticity.

The lower mattress or box spring serves to support the box spring mattress. In modern, high quality box spring beds cores of pocket springs are used in the box spring frame.

Slanted lines run through the entire design like a red thread: the box is tapered, as is the shape of the headboard. A creative solution that makes the bed appear soft and slim. As opposed to conventional box spring beds, MIUT is not superficially opulent. Its unobtrusive appea-rance draws attention to the subtleties in its visual and tactile details: its finely differentiated, slim contour lines, the conical body of the bed which conveys a feeling of security and cocooning, strong double seams or the turned solid wood feet. MIUT stands also apart from conventional box spring beds through its extremely slim frame: the upholstered solid wood frame is only 16 cm high.

MIUT is 100% handmade in Germany Production at the manufactu-ring facility in Germany is marked by a high degree of flexibility. We ensure transparency and quality when we select the materials to be used. The clean, high-quality craftsmanship that goes into the const-ruction guarantees longevity.

Just like with our solid wood furniture, repair and upkeep conside-rations play an important role: the fabric covers can be removed for cleaning in just a few easy steps or replaced entirely.

It is very easy to clean and care for the MIUT box spring bed.

Soft edges and corners, as well as recessed bed feet prevent potential injuries no risk of hurting yourself if you accidentally bump it in a crowded room or in a moment of grogginess.

All of the edges and corners are exposed, dust can be easily cleaned away and will not accumulate

The MIUT family of products offers an enormously wide range of possibilities:

MIUT is suitable for both the hotel and private sector: its level of functionality and easy maintenance, as well as its peripheral pro-ducts make it an ideal solution for hotel demands.

The box spring bed MIUT is available in the usual standard dimensi-ons, with or without a headboard. It can be combined with the wall panel MIUT PANEL. The shelves MIUT BOX either open or closed provide a place to store essentials and if needed also integrate a light switch discretely in the wall panel.

DINAT, a sleek, simple pillow was designed especially for MIUT. The firmness of the pillow provides additional comfort when sitting in the bed. The contrast colours and the decorative zipper give a face to the bed.

The small pendant lamp NOON 1 SMALL or the floor lamp NEAT NOON complete the concept.
