Product Description

The Z-Tec Lite wheelchairs have been designed to be used by a range of clients whose

mobility has been reduced by a disability or chronic illness. Suitability of these wheelchairs

can vary from a permanent disability such as arthritis or a stroke, to a chronic illness such as

polio or a spinal chord injury. The design incorporates a 4 wheeled wheelchair, with a back,

arm and leg support, with the intention of it being used as a wheeled conveyance to enhance

the mobility of a person with a maximum mass of 113kg, where mobility is impaired. The

design ergonomically accommodates a wide range of disabilities for all ages of user.

Suitability is dependant upon the degree and nature of disability and where possible should

be determined through a thorough risk assessment carried out by a qualified medical

professional. This wheelchair is suitable for assisting in rehabilitation, restoring

independence and in some instances long term alleviation of disabilities and chronic

illnesses.

Consideration must be given at point of prescription to required usage with regard to the

capabilities of the user and the environment and terrain on which the product will be used.

The Z-Tec Lite, manufactured by Z-Tec Mobility is placed on the EU market, CE

marked, as Class 1 Medical Device and complies with the Essential Requirements of the

Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC.

Footrest Adjustment

Leg rest Adjustment:

For optimum comfort it is important to attain the correct leg position (1.). The footrests have

been designed so that they can be extended by releasing the fixing screw (2.) on the back of

the footrest hanger. This lengthens the leg rests and once a comfortable position is found the

fixing should be secured tightly before use. A toolkit is provided.
