with scheduling, coaching , communication.– Included YMCA on the Board: Board votes to create new parent

I. Approval of Agenda (Kat/Mack) II. Approval of Minutes from April 7, 2014 (Susan/Bryce) III. Budget and Finances:

a. Operating Budget and Adjustments (George & Roger) i. About $7,500 leftover

ii. Still owe the costs of Not for Profit application iii. Fundraising ideas: tournaments/jamboree, booths are community events/festivals,

marathon/PGA volunteering iv. Motion: (George/Bryce) MTLC will store its equipment at the Braveheart facility once it

is tagged, labeled and inventoried. (carries) b. “Doing Business As” posting (place holder) c. Non-profit status:

i. Donations can be accepted as soon as approval from IRS, with donors having up to 27 months to write-off donations.

ii. Articles of incorporation have been turned into the Sec. of State’s office and are waiting notice.

d. NCJLA grant application (placeholder) i. Club needs to let NCJLA know in advance to September deadline.

ii. This is a PRIORITY project for the month of July. IV. Old Business: V. New Business:

a. Closing out the Season/Housekeeping i. End of Season Expenses (coaches, summer camp scholarships, equipment inventory and

storage) 1. All but summer camp scholarships were discussed.

ii. Present Team plaques to sponsors (G&H Farms – U13B and Carmel Realty B and G U15B and U11B)

• Variety of volunteer roles available in registration: Sign up Genius for specific dates/times/locations– Opt out available for $100– Roles include:

• Coaches • Team Parent• Field Manager – Game Day• Scheduling Committee• Equipment Committee – Field setup and breakdown• Scorekeepers and Timers• Sponsorship Committee• Team Merchandise Committee• Field Committee

– Roles & responsibilities document readily available in registration and on website

Coaches

     • Recruit: Personal calls, volunteer through registration, advertise at Naval Post Graduate/ Def. Language

Institute     Local High School players • Train: 

– US Lacrosse Level 1 education is a great resource – CEP great for understanding and coaching the game: limited availability– Hired Head Coach - Run skills assessments, teach coaching philosophy

• Additional clinics provide critical knowledge and chance to reinforce key concepts– Monthly Coach’s Meetings– Goalie Clinic– Faceoff Clinic– Live Practice Assistance
