This is the last Family Night Supper for this school year. We will have a dinner on Thursday, June 6th and Thursday, July 18th during the summer. You will need to make reservations for the suppers during the summer. The regular suppers will resume on Wednesday, August 21st. Permanent reservations will be taken in August on the church website at www.paumc.com and at mypaumc.

K KIDS /CHILDREN'S SUNDAY - Our last K Kids for this school year was May 1st, and we really ended the year well with a beautiful Children's Sunday! Children, you did a wonderful job - parents I know you are so proud of them! Big Time Believers WILL NOT meet this Sunday, May 12th. Treat your mamas well that day! Vacation Bible School online registration is open! Deadline to register is May 26th and VBS dates are June 10th-14th. Register at paumc.com. Due to the wonderful registration

Epworth Summer Camp - Our Park Avenue group will go to camp together the week of July 8-12th. Camp is for rising fourth and fifth graders. Join us Sunday, May 19th from 5-7 PM at the Elks Club Lodge, 2309 US HWY 84 West, Valdosta, for a night of BINGO with the family. A $10 bingo card will include 8 games. All proceeds will go to the Youth Mission Trip to Eleuthera, Bahamas.

The youth will be repairing homes damaged by storms.

Upcoming: All High School & College Girls are invited to join Cary Dowse to a Beth Moore Bible study. A Woman’s Heart. God’s Dwelling Place is the name of the 11 week series. They will meet on Tuesdays from 6:30-9:30pm in the Pairs & Spares SS Room, B-26. They begin May 28th so contact Cary at 229-834-1673 to join the class. The study book cost is $19.00.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

We’re so proud of our youth at PAUMC. They are truly making a difference in our church and our community! Just of couple of examples - maybe you’ve seen some pictures on Facebook of our youth serving meals at the Girls & Boys Club, or serving our congregation at the BBQ meal this past Sunday.

Perhaps you know that a large group of our youth worked really hard this past Saturday to clean the yard of one of our members who really needed the help. What an incredible blessing this was to this homeowner and to all the youth!

In just a few weeks, twenty-four of our youth will have a unique chance to widen their influence in making a difference on a mission trip to the Bahamas Methodist Habitat. Our team will do minor home repair, including roofing, tiling, painting, installing doors and windows, and hanging drywall for some of the poorest families in the area who cannot otherwise afford these much needed repairs.

The youth will also share their faith, develop relationships with local children, youth and adults and experience worship in the local setting. This is a rare opportunity for all team members (youth and adults) to grow closer to Christ by stepping out of their comfort zone. It will be an enriching and potentially life changing trip!

The cost for this trip is significant per person, but the benefit to the local Bahamians, to our youth and, eventually to our church is enormous! The youth need your help to fund this trip. Many of you have already generously responded, and we are so grateful.

I love what Paul wrote to the church at Corinth about their collection for the Christians in Jerusalem:

“When we take your gifts to them ... two things will result from this ministry of giving - the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God. ... And they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you.”

2 Cor. 9:11-14 NLT

If you haven’t had a chance to partner with the youth by giving to this mission trip, please prayerfully consider how you can help! Your gift could literally change lives and bring glory to God!

Please be in prayer for the Youth Choir and Youth Handbell Choir as we go on tour to Orlando, FL May 26th-29th, 2019. We will be singing/playing in 4 retirement/nursing homes. We have 14 of our youth going and 6 adults. We will also be enjoying a fun day on Tuesday at Typhoon Lagoon water park!

We are proud of the youth who choose to be a part of PAUMC’s Youth Choir! The Youth Choir will be singing in the worship service on May 26th at the 8:55AM service.

Again, we welcome your prayers as we seek to minister to others through music.
