The fund is set up to provide an entry point to long-term employment through a job placement that offers the chance to learn work skills while earning an income
Fund kicked off Sept. 23, 2013
Start dates have begun for training/placements!
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
A person between 15- 29 years of age
Unemployed but with a career goal
Not participating in full-time training or education
Resident of Ontario
TRAINING COMPONENTTRAINING COMPONENT
Includes short-term, non occupation-specific training
Directly linked to a job placement
WHAT TYPES OF TRAINING?WHAT TYPES OF TRAINING?
Examples of eligible training could include but are not limited to:
Written/oral communications (e.g. public speaking)
Health and Safety (e.g. first aid, WHMIS) Business Skills (information
management) or Technology (word processing)
The training cannot exceed eight weeks in length.
