BB Trap
• Trap play to the flow side of power.
• Run Trap when the linebackers are flowing hardto power/power sweep. ILB/OLB on flow side are
over running the power/power sweep.• Two out of three of these must take place in
order to run trap effectively.1) Aggressive defensive line breaching the LOS
2) Linebacker flows hard overplaying to the perimeter (+1 toperimeter post-snap)
3) 4 on the perimeter (often from fast flowing ILB)

TKO Slip Method
• If a defender is over or inside of the PST and is athletically and biologically superior to the blocker outsideof him and fast enough that he is getting across and penetrating our LOS, then let him go and let the KICKOUT BLOCKER take him out; then the pullers and ball carrier may run inside of him .
• The PST and PSTE will step up and over the defender instead of taking a LOAD step down using an evasiverelease (get skinny let the defender slip by resume LEG).
• They simply take their load and explode step going forward and then redirect down on their go step. Theywill LOAD and EXPLODE vertically as they get skinny and then turn inside and get to their landmark. We
basically bypass the targeted defender and re-seal the gap as he goes by, then we get to our respectivelandmarks. The runner must always stay tight to the wall, along with any second puller who is pullingvertical to seal. As long as they do this it doesn’t matter who the kick out blocker blocks (FIRST DEFENDERTO CROSS HIS FACE).
• This trap (slip) concept can be used with SEAL, KICK, GRUNT, and TANK. Obviously the SEAL concept can bea little more difficult due to the location of the kick out blocker (BB). In SEAL scheme we will typically onlyattempt to “trap” a defender over or outside of the PST but in the KICK, GRUNT, and TANK schemes we can“trap” a defender that is over or outside shade of the PSG because the PULL GUARD is farther away from
the targeted defender and has an easier path/distance to kick out with.• The benefit of using this trapping concept is that even when you face a really tough interior defender you
still have the ability to beat him by simply letting him get by the wall, then closing the wall off, and kickinghim out while you run inside of him. The combination of down blocks, cut offs, wedge, and kick out blocksis often more than enough to slow down even the most aggressive defender once he realizes we will usehis aggressiveness against him.

WB Part
• Used when the defense is sitting four on the
perimeter triangle and giving up the B gap (space
between the interior and the edge).
• With four on the perimeter triangle they oftencollapse two defenders inside hoping to
overwhelm the tunnel and deny the power play.
• PART allows us to split the defense by isolatingthe outside defenders and attack the POA with
our pullers.

WB Cutback
• WB Cutback is used when the defense is
keying flow and protecting the perimeter from
the reverse.
• The XX action holds the perimeter triangle in
place to enhance the KICK scheme.
• The WB will motion, secure the snap, and go
vertical aiming at the near hip of the center
and going vertical to daylight.

Tight Rip 25 Kick
“Cutback”
The TB will step with
near foot to counter WBand fake hand off then
cut back play side. This
allows the pullers to get
into the hole and further
entices the play side
perimeter triangle to
play outside on the
faking reverse.

• If backside corner is ignoring the BSTE we can throw to
the backside fade using a tag.• You can use WALL, JOKER, or DUECE pass protection.
