When you have so many happy participants, you know that you’ve done a great job. And you feel

the urge to do something more for them.

This is how a project that just ended is searching for a quick re-start, to fulfill the desire of some very enthusiastic

kids to know more about different cultures, their local society and youth participation in those countries.

Welcome to Youth Academy 2013 (part II)

This January, 4 interns from all around the world(Pakistan, Brazil, Australia, Colombia)

gathered in a town that they never heard about, in what would soon become an amazing life-changing

experience. Together, they taught 200 13-14 year old kids about their cultures and youth rights in their societies.

The topics for the classes that they had together were:- Intro to the participatory democracy concept

- Political structures in Romania and in the interns countries- Case studies on fictional situations

- Workshops on youth problems in Romania- Finding the problems youth have in Romania

and searching for solutions.

The project was a success, having also interactive eventsand other activities with the kids, that were out of the

curricula, but they were useful in order for themto understand better the cultures of the interns.

And so it came the Closing Event & Global Village...

The kids will get to discover 4 more countries and theirpolitical systems, getting to understand good case orbad case practices from other corners of the world.

We know for sure that they will learn about the Egyptiandemocracy from ages ago until the present...

But which will be the other countries?
