Strategic Challenge and OpportunityThe EC and ICT industry in the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs is focused on an estimated 900k unfilled ICT jobs by 2015 (in light of 5.5m youth unemployment). Diamond (Rock) Concept Graphic representation of main skill groups
Each new activity that the user adds changes the relative size of segments, creating a personalized ‘diamond’ that reflects the users’ predominant skill groups.
Activities also generates a ‘skills cloud’(not shown), detailing all of the specific skills that a user may have.
The viewer gets a detailed picture of the skills of a user with links to examples and endorsements.

YouRock AudienceAged 15-24, male and female, European
Aimed at 15-24, but perceived likely target age range perhaps 17-21. Demographics may have variance between countries. Employed, unemployed, or in full time education; Have little or no workplace experience or career profile; Have little or no interest in ICT as a career; Uses technology daily; Likely to use range of social media but not LinkedIn.
Plan is to build early audience in spring youth campaigns: March 24-28: Get Online Week May: EC European Youth Event in Strasbourg May: eSkills Campaign, launch event in Athens
Ongoing development will bring in new features,such as multi-lingual profiles and native apps.

Get Online Week & eSkills for JobsA resource for telecentres & intermediaries
YouRock is being launched in time for use in Get Online Week and the eSkills for Jobs campaigns and the EYE2014 event.
An illustrated YouRock support guide will be produced for telecentre and other intermediary managers.
Each language version will have free banner links on users profile page through to telecentre networks, national skills training providers, and employment advice services.
Further banner information will be issued in the coming weeks to allow organisations to create banner graphics for launch.
Translations to take place from end of Feb and are estimated to take 1 day. A translation support pack will be developed.
