God wants you to be a member of His family

so He can help you make good choices and

do and say the right things each day. And He

wants you to live forever with Him in heaven

someday. For this to happen and for your sins

to be forgiven, you must first agree with God

that you have sinned. Then you need to accept

God’s offer to let Jesus be your substitute—the

one who took the punishment for your sins.

You can tell Him in a prayer like this:

“Dear God, I admit that I’ve sinned many times.

I truly believe that Your Son Jesus died to take

the punishment I deserved because of my sins. I

accept Your offer to forgive me and to give me life

that lasts forever. Thank You for loving me!”

called “sins”—there

are very serious

consequences.

Even worse,

there’s no

way we could ever repay

God to make up for our

disobedience and sins.

But the God who created us in the

first place loves us—including one-of-

a-kind you!—so much that He sent

His perfect Son Jesus to earth to take our

punishment and pay the penalty for our

sins that we could never pay. “For God

so loved the world, that He gave His only

begotten Son [to die for us], that whoso-

ever believeth in Him should not per-

ish, but have everlasting life”

( John 3:16). After Jesus died for

us He came back to life and a

few weeks later He returned

to heaven.

There’s no one in the whole world just like you! You don’t need to wear a costume or do

anything different to be one-of-a-kind. You’re al-

ready special and unique, every day of the year.

No one else talks like you and thinks

like you. From the top of your head

down to your toes, no one else looks

exactly like you. No one even has

fingerprints exactly like yours. God is

such a wise Creator that He designed

a different set for each person. He

never has to use the same ones twice. God

knows all there is to know about

you—what you look like, your

personality, your sense of

humor—everything! How cool is

that!

But that means God also

knows everything—including

the bad things you do and say!

In fact, the Bible says that since

we all have done bad things—

From the top of your head down to your toes, no one

else looks exactly like you.
