When it comes to accessing quality health care providers while keeping expenses manageable, the selection of a health network remains top of mind for the health care consumer.

In 2018, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE) will offer three network options. These networks – NEtwork BLUE, Premier Select BlueChoice and Blueprint Health – provide access to quality providers, but with some differences.

NEW – for groups of two or more employees! Blue Cross and Shield of Nebraska is pleased to offer Blueprint Health. This new regional network is available to fully insured and self-funded groups of 51 or more employees starting Jan. 1, 2018. The network is also available to groups of two or more starting July 1, 2018. It features CHI Health providers and facilities in Nebraska and contiguous counties in Iowa, as well as other providers.

Blueprint Health is for groups that are headquartered in the Omaha/Lincoln and surrounding communities in ZIP codes 680, 681, 683, 684 and 685, as well as Adams, Buffalo, Hall, Kearney and Phelps counties.

Double or Triple Network Option AvailableBased on the location of the group’s headquarters, double or triple network options are available to offer employees. The employee selects the network based upon their needs. Members living outside the Premier Select BlueChoice or Blueprint Health service area are not able to choose those network options. They would be offered NEtwork BLUE.

In the first field of the CHOOSE A NETWORK page, select the arrow and click on MEDICAL AND DENTAL PLANS. Then, select the applicable network. Enter a location (ZIP code, city/state or full address). Then, enter the doctor or hospital name or the condition or specialty, and select SEARCH.
