In most cases, newly built homes come with limited choices. The builder works to a design that’s already been decided, and you end up living with someone else’s vision. But now, there’s another option.

Design Your Home lets you go beyond the usual constraints of new buildings. You get to make important choices that turn a home into your home. You customise it and personalise it. Make it work for you, your lifestyle, your family and your future.

In some ways, it’s like building your own home on a plot of land. You get to decide many of the structural features, and have lots of freedom over finishes and fixtures. But you don’t have the hassle of seeking planning permission, and there’s none of the uncertainty over costs and timings.

With us, you choose your plot and select from a wide range of sizes and layouts for your house or apartment. And then, with advice from our sales team, you configure your home to suit your taste and budget. We help you consider all aspects of your home. How many en-suite bathrooms, and where? Or maybe a walk-in wardrobe instead? How about a utility room or a conservatory? What sort of porch? Perhaps a bike store?

You can also decide different uses for each space — like whether to have an extra bedroom or a study, and whether to convert the roof space. You can even plan ahead by putting in the stairs to the loft, but saving the conversion until you need it. Design Your Home means creating a place you can live in and grow into, as your life changes.

All the small-but-vital details are up to you, too. The layout and fittings of your kitchen and bathrooms, the style of doors, banisters and skirting boards, and the type and number of fireplaces.

Most importantly, whatever you choose, we’ve already had it approved for planning, so there should be no delays. In most cases, your new home can be built and ready to move in to in just six months.

We’ve also made all the contracts for buying your plot and your home very easy to understand, and we’ll give clear guidance to you and your solicitor.

In some cases we can even help with your living expenses whilst your home is being built.*
