Trócaire Boxes
The boxes for the annual Trócaire
campaign are being distributed today.
This year´s slogan is Join the Fight
for Justice. All are invited to do their
best to raise money for the Trócaire
projects. These are undertaken with a
view to working for a just world, to
help those most in need. Trócaire is
the Irish word for mercy. In the Year
of Mercy it would be appropriate to
make a special effort this Lent. The
boxes should be returned to the
reception in the monastery before
Easter Sunday.
Pioneer Lenten Challenge:
many people abstain from
alcohol and take the short
term pledge for the duration
of Lent. You can do this by
visiting
www.pioneerassociation.ie
and joining on line or by
contacting your local Pioneer
representative. Make this
gesture a prayer for someone
who suffers from an addiction
to alcohol or other substance.

prayer life during Lent, a privileged time to answer the
call to conversion.
St Vincent de Paul Society welcomes you to
an hour long information evening in the Crown
Plaza hotel on Thursday 18th February
commencing at 7pm. Because of the continuous
high level of requests for assistance, the society
urgently needs new volunteers to assist in their
work. If you have a few hours free every week
and would be interested in helping those in
need, we would be delighted if you come along
and meet our conference members. In addition
to needing volunteers for home visitation, the
society also requires volunteers for their shops
and for various administration roles. Contact,
