My Experience

• My experience giving blood was good. Although, I was extremely nervous in the beginning it was not near as bad as I thought it would be. The phlebotomist were very friendly, and did a really good job. I was in and out in like 30 minutes, it didn’t take long at all. Thankfully I didn’t pass out. After giving my donation I had some refreshments and watched TV, and then I left. I will definitely donate again in the future.

• Yes, I would volunteer at Goodwill again. I enjoyed working with the employees and helping the customers find what they needed. I didn’t really feel like it was community service, I felt more like it was a job or something.

• I enjoyed all of the community service I did. I enjoy helping the community along with helping others. I like the fact that I can make a difference in someone's life just by giving a couple hours of my time every now and then.

• I believe I will still volunteer my time and continue doing community service in the future. I enjoy making a difference in others lives and helping out the community. Volunteering my time without it being mandatory will not be a problem for me.

• I feel that community service is a service that everyone should participate in. It helps people appreciate what they have by seeing what others are going through. I feel like community service builds are character and makes us better people.

Is Community Service Important?

I think community service is a service that our society cannot live without. Without the help of people giving their time, people going through distress and emergencies have no hope. I think everyone should give a little bit of their free time to community service.
