NEXT MISSION: THE NEXT 100 MISSIONS
We’ve featured 100 inspirations in almost two years of Gastropost in Edmonton. That’s a lot of chefs, producers and folks involved with Alberta food. Carrie Selin with Taste Alberta says she’s enjoyed seeing some of the unique dishes that include local food, so it’s no surprise her Next 100 Missions su%gestion would involve Alberta ingredients. “I always like to see how people are doing di& erent things and making unique dishes with ingredients we have here in Alberta.” Her signature local dish is a comforting classic. “My go-to is always a roast with mashed potatoes and gra'#. Of course, we love Alberta beef in my family, and my family isn’t super adventurous, so we cook a lot of the comforting foods that we grew up with.” W$ile dessert missions are her favourite photos to look at, Carrie jokes that she hasn’t mastered many desserts past a delicious chocolate zucchini cake.
If you’re enjoying something that uses local ingredients, make sure to tag #tasteab to your gastropost!
