IntroductionThe Aurora Wellbeing Centres offer a free package of Beauty Treatments and support to local patients, both men and women, helping them to face the world with confidence, through one of the most difficult times of their life.

The free treatment package currently consists of 6 free beauty treatments 2 free carer beauty treatments 2 free hair appointments and free access to colour therapy, mindfulness and gentle gyms.

We also host a Headstrong service within our centres. Breast Cancer Cares advisory service. This offers information and support on hair loss due to cancer treatment.

Our extensively trained and experienced therapists provide support and care that is mainstream and clinically safe. Come to one of our centres share your feelings with us in a relaxing environment while we help support you and make YOU feel good.

You can take advantage of our centres at any point in your cancer journey; we offer a wide range of professional beauty treatments including advice on skin care and hair loss, to help boost self-esteem and self-confidence whilst undergoing and recovering from your related treatments of cancer.

An initial appointment will include a consultation at one of our centres with one of our qualified beauty therapists who will advise on the most suitable treatments.

Aurora set out in 2002 to provide a small island of peace and serenity in an ocean of stress and anxiety, ensuring that patients have their own time to feel special and pampered. We provide this service to the patient and their partner, recognising the support that is needed not just for the person with cancer, because the fallout from cancer affects our nearest and dearest too.

warm wax treatment for the handsExperience the ultimate pamper for hands. A wonderfully hydrating warm wax treatment that leaves your hands feeling soft and nourished, whilst at the same time helping to improve the condition of your fingernails.

manicureThis treatment is specially designed to ensure your hands look their best. Includes nail re-shaping, gentle exfoliation of dry skin and a luxury hand massage. Nail enamel optional.

facialA luxurious facial using products by Dermalogica, customised to suit the individual needs of your skin. Our Beauty Therapist will offer expert advice on how you can improve and maintain the condition of your skin. The ultimate pamper treatment!.

make overWhy not treat yourself to a make-over for that special occasion. Our Beauty Therapist will expertly apply your make-up using mineral make up to suit your individual requirements and enhance your appearance, whilst at the same time instructing you to recreate the look for yourself at home.

eye treatmentA relaxing and de-stressing treatment for the eyes using products by Dermalogica. Helps to eliminate dark circles and puffiness and hydrates the delicate skin around the eye area leaving you feeling wonderfully revitalised.

eyelash and eyebrow enhancementOur beauty therapist will apply specialist products to enhance your eyebrows and eye lashes whilst at the same time instructing you how to do this at home for yourself. Please note a patch test must be carried out 24-48 hours prior to each eyelash enhancement treatment.

warm wax treatment for the feetA luxury treatment, which helps to improve the skin condition and ease, tired aching feet. Includes foot spa, exfoliation of dry skin, application of warm wax and a soothing foot massage.

treatmentsreflexologyThis consists of pressure massage of reflex points on the foot, which relate to organs found within their particular zone or meridian. This treatment clears any blockages that are evident, thus encouraging the body to function to its full potential. It helps to reduce stress and revitalises the body and mind.

reikiReiki is the name given to a system of natural healing. It helps to balance the body by treating the whole person, mind, body and spirit rather than the specific symptom. Reki is non-intrusive and no clothing is removed.

upper body massageA non stimulating, therapeutic upper body massage to the back neck and shoulders including a gentle head massage. No clothing is removed.
