How can you be sure your life is moving toward Heaven?

Page 6: Your Final Destination - Part 1

Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6 NKJV)

Jesus also said: “Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28 NKJV)

Regardless of all the other popular voices nowadays that are telling you there are other ways or that you are your own salvation, or that it is all a matter of good vibrations, Jesus is the only way to salvation and Heaven. And He made it simple so even an child can find that way and stay on it.

Steps to take to know that your life is going toward Heaven

Page 9: Your Final Destination - Part 1

You have to first do what is the hardest thing for any person to do – confess that you are a sinner headed to hell and going against God because you want to do it your way, and admit to Him and yourself that you can’t save yourself by your own efforts. And admit you need a savior.

1. Acknowledge Your present Condition in God’s Sight

Page 10: Your Final Destination - Part 1

2. Make no excuses

Don’t try to compare yourself with anybody else. That’s a vain attempt to cop out, to shift the responsibility. Admit that you are a sinner because YOU sinned and you WANTED to sin, and that according to God’s Law you deserve hell if He based His judgment on your goodness alone.

God says:

There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandes, there is none that seeks after God…there is none that does good, no, not one;…with their tongues they have used deceit;… Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:…There is no fear of God before their eyes. (Romans 3:10-18 NKJV)

3. Ask God to forgive you for your rebellion and to forgive all your

sinfulness

The bible says that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteous. (1 John 1:9 NKJV)

Page 13: Your Final Destination - Part 1

4. Ask God to wash away the sins in the Blood of Jesus

This is self – explanatory. Jesus came to die on a Cross so that His death and Blood would be payment for all your sins past present and future. But you will have to try not to sin, and confess and ask God to forgive you when you do fall into sin.

5. Ask Jesus to come into your heart by His Holy Spirit and be Savior and

Lord of your life.

Another self – explanatory step. He will send His Holy Spirit into your heart and the Holy Spirit and the Bible will be your guide from now on.

Page 15: Your Final Destination - Part 1

If you did the above 5 steps, you can now be sure that you are on

the way to Heaven.

Now try to find a Bible teaching church where you can worship and get to know other

Christians and then begin reading the Bible to find out about your relationship with God and

how you should live. Ask God to show you everyday what you need to know for that day.
