Your Biology Applicant Day Join your Biology Applicant Day for a taste of what the course can offer. Work with current students to use our Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to capture images of different biological specimens. You will prepare, view and capture digital SEM images you can take away. Should you join this course, with our research-active staff to guide you, you will learn advanced practical skills in our state-of-the-art laboratories and analytical facilities, and during field trips in the UK and overseas. Your Timetable Arrive between 9.15am to 10.00am and check-in at Foster Social Space with our central team. Welcome talk and introduction to Biology SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) Workshop in the Analytical Suite. Observe your specimen at high magnification and we will produce an image to send on to you. Enjoy refreshments and lunch with fellow applicants and current students on us! From 3pm when your subject sessions conclude, come along to the Students’ Union to make the most of our Campus and Accommodation Tours and talk to staff from Student Services including; Accommodation, Admissions, Careers, Fees and Finance, the Students’ Union, Study Abroad, Sustainable Travel, Volunteering, Wellbeing Team and Worldwise who are around until 4.30pm.
