more than $10 million. This revolutionary microcredit system has already

brought credit to more than seven million of the world's poorest people,

most of them in Bangladesh, one of the poorest nations in the world.

Majority (96%) of the borrowers are women.

Muhammad Yunus - Yunus is often called "the world's banker to the

poor“. He has also written the book on social entrepreneurship, where

Bill Drayton - Bill is not just a great example of a social entrepreneur, he

actually helped to define and promote the term itself. Drayton is the

founder and current chair of Ashoka: Innovators for the Public, an

network across the business and social sectors, and a platform for people

dedicated to changing the world. It launched the field of social

entrepreneurship and has helped to generate new ideas to solve social

problems. Nowadays, Ashoka is the largest network of social

entrepreneurs worldwide, with nearly 3 000 Ashoka Fellows in 70

countries, some of which have already developed leading social

which solves social problems.

The main aim it is not just

making money but also can

improve life level.”

• In Slovak opinion – “It is a

branch of entrepreneurship

from which a special group of

society benefits. This group

of people also gets a part of

profit from the business. It is

a way of improving life

standards and it helps

separated groups to integrate

into the society as such.”

• In Romanian opinion –

is a business which solve a

social problem by reinvesting

of profits.”

Steps to be a social

entrepreneur

• If you want to became a social entrepreneur follow

this steps:

• First you need to identify a community problem. Do

not worry about you not finding one because there are

many;

• After you found a problem you need to seek a

innovative solution to solve the problem;

• Now you have to prepare a business plan and to be

more easy we recommend you to start with Business

Canvas Model.

• After creating the business plan you have to identify a

founding source for your social business.

• After all of these you need to remember you started

this social business to solve a problem of your

community not to enrich yourself.
