TRANSCRIPT
Dear Member,
When you receive our June 2019 Newsletter, Shavuos will be just a short period away. I would like to
encourage everyone to join us for some or all of the programs that are scheduled over Yom Tov. In
particular, our learning program during the first night of Shavuos has become a very popular program. Our
Kollel has put together a great program of classes and chavrusa learning throughout the night. In addition,
there are great refreshments to help keep us awake!
Our annual medical panel discussion has also become an expected highlight, that we plan to continue
this year. It is on the second day of Shavuos, Monday, June 10 at 7:00 pm.
In addition, we are planning for a festive Neilas HaChag at the conclusion of Yom Tov to allow us to
take some of the spirit of Yom Tov with us after Yom Tov is over.
I look forward to seeing you over Yom Tov. Have a meaningful and enjoyable Shavuos.

In the Psukei D’Zimra that we say every day we recite the verse: אשרי שקל יעקב בעזרו שברו על ה ‘
אלוקיו
”Fortunate is the person who has the G-d of Jacob as his help; his hope is in his G-d”.
We may see ourselves as dependant for survival on those means that we employ to earn our
livelihood. We often tend to forget that our true dependence is on Hashem. Consequently, if
anything should occur that appears to jeopardize our means of earning a living, we may panic. A
firm trust in Hashem would allow us to approach such situations with constructive, rational thought
rather than with panic, which is likely to be destructive.
We just need to remember that our ultimate provider is Hashem, who has limitless ways to
provide for our needs.
