Young at Heart Culture Club is a monthly event for over 55s, held at the gorgeous Erskineville Town Hall in Sydney’s Inner-West. Each month features an exclusive daytime screening and/or talk or workshop. Come chat with us about movies and the arts over free tea and biscuits!

In March we take a look at a gorgeous home-grown documentary about acclaimed Sydney painter—and three-time Archibald winner—Eric Smith. As he approaches 90, this long-forgotten painter prepares for his first exhibition in 20 years. The film is an intimate and revealing insight into the artistic process filled with commentary from the luminaries of the Australian arts scene.

YOUNG AT HEART is organized by non-profit arts organization The Festivalists.

Young at Heart is Australia’s only film festival programmed for film lovers aged 60+, and 2014 is our biggest year yet. Young at Heart will visit Sydney, Parramatta, Newcastle and Canberra. Meanwhile the Short Film Awards program—presented by National Relay Service—will visit more than 30 regional towns across NSW and interstate, and our Culture Club will welcome film lovers monthly at Erskineville Town Hall.
