You Haven’t Seen It, Yet

We Should Want to Go to Heaven because of Who is There

•God, the Father, is there (Deuteronomy 26:15; Ecclesiastes 5:2; Daniel 2:28; Matthew 5:45, 6:9, 7:11, 7:21).

•Jesus, the Savior, is there (John 14:1-6; John 6:38; Acts 7:55-56; Colossians 3:1-2; Hebrews 9:24).

•The Holy Spirit, our Comforter, is there (First Corinthians 2:11-12).

We Should Want to Go to Heaven because of Who is There

•Bible “heroes” will be there (cf. Matthew 8:11).

•Children will be there (2 Samuel 12:23).

•The redeemed of all the ages will be there (Revelation 14:3; 21:7).

We Should Want to Go to Heaven because of What We Will Do There

•We will praise God…forever!

•If we don’t like spending time with God’s people here, and if we don’t like worship here, we need to cultivate a love for both. That’s what heaven is going to be!!!

We Should Want to Go to Heaven because of What Will NOT be There

•“The former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).

•What former things?

•Separations

•Sin

•Sorrow

There’s a land that is fairer than day…

And by faith I CAN see it afar!
