IADC COVID-19 Update (repeated):
-The COVID-19 global pandemic presents a number of concerns for the worldwide drilling industry. As
we have done for 80 years, IADC stands ready to assist Members in any way that we can, with a
steadfast focus on safety.
-Accreditation & Credentialing: Certificate extension status, Distance Learning Option for RigPass, DIT,
WellSharp, & Gateway.
-Conferences Update: All IADC conferences in 2020 are virtual. More info can be found on

Latin America Chapter
IADC Latin America Chapter (LATAM):
-Fully operational with a great team of chapter officers who were elected.
Chairperson of the LATAM chapter is: Mr. Carlos Ortiz Reguer, Transocean. The
chapter is based in Mexico City.
-Geographical Reach currently includes but not limited to Mexico, Central America,
the Caribbean Islands and continental South America (except Brazil).
-Membership open to all Offshore & Onshore Drilling Contractors, Operators,
Associate companies and independent professionals (independent professionals
have limited voting rights membership).

Equipment List
IADC Standard Equipment List:
-A workgroup diligently working to revise the IADC Standard Equipment List for
Floaters (semis & drillships) over the last 6 months.
-Members are encouraged to send in their feedback and comments before COB
18th of September 2020.
-Goal is to streamline the tender process for both contractor & operator.
-Previous Equipment List was from 1993 and did not contain dual activity derricks
and modern day equipment.

IADC Restructuring
IADC Restructuring:
-IADC was not immune to the latest challenges and financial difficulties that the
whole world and industry witnessed.
-IADC had to take some tough decisions this year by downsizing the team (by
almost %15), restructuring and salary & travel budget cuts.
-Restructuring mainly was at the Accreditation & Credentialing Department.
