- Paddlers are seated- Single paddle- Paddle on both sides- Boat is wide for stability- Boat is heavier, slower
RACING CANOE
- Boats are very narrow - Narrow tip “cuts”
through water- Built for speed- Six meters long- Very unstable- Paddler kneels on one knee and ONLY paddles on one side

- Uses double blade- Many different types:
- Sea kayaking- White Water kayaking- Slalom kayaking
- No rudder
- Relaxing trip on ocean- Adrenaline rushing rapids
- Single is around 520 cm long - A bit wider than the athlete's hips- Not built for stability- Have a rudder for steering -- by athlete’s feet- Light weight- Double-bladed paddle
