Awesome Social Media Job Alert: Community Manager required – YO! Sushi needs YOU!Closing date: Sunday 20th May 2012Salary: Dependent on experience

We’re on the look-out for a creative, innovative and enthusiasticindividual to manage and grow YO! Sushi’s online community.

We’re a unique brand, and so we’re looking for an exceptionalperson to fill the role. Is this you?

The Job•★ Community management. You’ll be the voice, eyes and ears of YO! Sushi online. You’ll work

with all different departments of the business from our CEO to our restaurant staff around the world, to make sure that our customers are wowed by YO! Sushi in the digital world as much as they are in their local restaurant.

•★ Content. Words, photos, videos - you know the type of content that gets our community talking. You’ll be able to toe the line where social media platforms and competitions are concerned, potentially using a social media CMS.

• Strategy. You’ll be responsible for spotting an opportunity to take YO! Sushi to the newest parts of the internet. If you think our customers are already there, then you’ll find an innovative way to take us there too.

• Insight. You know how to sift through the interesting nuggets of information from the mass volume, and how to make your observations useful to the entire business, not just the Marketing team.

•★ Training. By sharing your knowledge, you will help to ensure social media continues to grow through the heart of our business.

• Pitch In. We are a lean, mean marketing machine so you won’t live in a social ivory tower! When we open a new restaurant or have some experiential marketing activity planned, you’ll be on hand to help out - even if this means wandering the streets in sumo wrestler suits!

Your Personality•★ Your smartphone is surgically attached to your hand, ready to tweet a restaurant recommendation,

check into a gig venue or Instagram a picture of your feet/lunch/cat at a moment’s notice.

•★ Stories in the paper are old news because you saw your friends share it on Facebook yesterday. And on the subject of friends – yours know that the best way to get hold of you is a cheeky Twitter DM.

•★ You’ve used social media to blag yourself a freebie or two in your time. Yes, you.

•★ You’re inquisitive and like to learn about EVERYTHING, clicking from link to link until you’re a font of all knowledge on all manner of things digital. You knew about Fenton/the iPhone 5/Samantha Brick’s woes first.

•★ You’re either a super smart grad, or have up to 2 years’ experience in social, digital, marketing,PR or a related field. However, we’d be equally impressed if you don’t work in communications but can demonstrate your passion for social media in another way.

•★ You love YO! Sushi, and have been trying to get your boyfriend/girlfriend/boss/grandmother through our doors to prove to them we do much more than sushi. Ideally, you are already a Twitter follower or Facebook fan, or a member of our YO! Love Club. You do katsu, of course.

Your Skills•★ You’ve got finely honed communication skills and a creative flair. You view character con-

straints as a creative challenge, not an excuse for bad spelling or grammar.

•★ You know how to deal with different types of people, from customers to journalists. You might have studied a PR, marketing or advertising degree, but...

★ ... You’re not scared of numbers. You can pull trends and insight from an Excel spreadsheet of raw data. Numbers are just words that haven’t been translated yet.

•★ You can quickly get your head around web-based analytics tools and systems.

What Next?NO DULL COVER LETTERS. Seriously!

The restaurant world and the social world share a common short attention span. You have an absolute maximum of 30 seconds to grab someone’s attention when they walk past a restaurant or land on your Facebook page.

Now you have 30 seconds of our time - how are you going to use it?

This is a creative job, so make your approach stand out by any means necessary.

We will accept CVs, but your blog/Twitter profile/YouTube account and other expressions of your personality across the internet are just as important to us.

Think you’ve got what it takes? Fancy working with our small, ambitious, dedicated and fun team based in Farringdon, London, who are masterminding a global sushi revolution

Then get your sushi skates on and apply to [email protected] before 20th May 2012!
