How to conjugate GUSTARWhen talking about what you or somebody

else likes to do, use the verb GUSTAR (to like).

Gusta is for ALL singular and plural points of view when conjugated.

let’s take a look at the indirect object pronouns that go with the verb GUSTAR.

Let’s start writing sentencesNow we’re ready to create some

sentences! Let’s start by adding each of the indirect object pronouns to gusta.

To complete a sentence we need to add an infinitive verb.

An INFINITIVE VERB is a verb in its basic form,

or a verb that has not yet been conjugated. Infinitive verbs always start with to, as in “to eat”, “to swim”, and “to dance”.

Examples of INFINITIVE VERBS:In Spanish the verbs in the infinitive end in:

AR, ER, IRNADAR = to swimCOMER = to eat

ESCRIBIR = to write

animals, things or ideas. In Spanish all nouns are either masculine or feminine.

Nouns that end in o or that refer to male are masculine:

Feminine nouns that begin with stressed a or ha take the masculine article el in the singular to avoid a double a sound. They take the feminine article las in the plural. However, the singular form is still feminine:

El agua(water) las aguas

El hacha(axe) las hachas
