What is DIODE?DIODE is our brand of youth leadership camps aiming to inspire young leaders across Malaysia.

Since 2008, DIODE has impacted and empowered young people to grow in their leadership

journey and in discovering their leadership potential, building a generation of youth who can

take up the challenge to make a positive di�erence in their communities through their

leadership in�uence.

Why DIODE?A diode is an electrical component which allows electric current to �ow in a single direction. In the

same way, DIODE camps aim to provide directional and intentional leadership guidance to our youth

campers and inspire them to leadership greatness.

Are you ready for the challenge?

The DIODE Youth Leadership Camp is specially designed for youth between the ages of 14-16

who are keen to explore and discover their leadership potential. The camp aims to encourage

youth towards a deeper understanding of themselves and to empower them for a life-long

journey of leadership growth.

At DIODE, we practice a 70-20-10 priciple whereby 70% of our sessions are activity based -

emphasising on action learning and team engagement; 20% of role modelling through

interactions with industry leaders, trainers and facilitators; and10% of lectures and theoretical

teachings.

We believe that youth learn best when they are having fun and we endeavour to make the camp

experience one that is impactful, engaging, life-changing and fun.

The camp theme this year is Play-Back : Leadership through the Ages.

During the 6 days, campers will time-travel together and explore the concepts of leadership

throughout the ages. Together we will discover what it means to be a leader in di�erent times

of need and in di�erent generations.

What do I need to bring?Here is our recommended packing list -

Su�cient clothing for 6 days

Attire for outdoor games

Sport shoes

Slippers or sandals

Small umbrella/raincoat

Jacket (if you get cold easily)

Water bottle

Stationary and writing supplies

Personal toiletries and medications

Torchlight

Towel

Attire for DIODE Fun Night

DIODE Fun Night is on the �nal night of camp and campers are encouraged (not compulsory)

to dress up according to the theme. The fun night theme is 90s Flashback.

Valuables such as mobile phones, laptops, mp3 players, game consoles, jewellery and so on are not

encouraged and will be at the risk and responsibility of each individual. Electronical items will be

con�sticated if they are used during the sessions and returned at the end of camp.

Money: Campers will not require any additional cash as all costs will be covered. Extra money will

also be the responsibility of each individual.

Please do not bring -

Products which contain tobacco, alchohol or nicotine; non-prescription drugs; indecent material;

or weaponry of any form to the camp.
