An accomplished 30-year-old(2008) artist,YIRUMA was born in Korea and raisedin England. YIRUMA began playing thepiano at age 5 and moved to London,England at age 11 to study at The PurcellSchool of Music in London. He graduatedas a composition major from Kings Collegeof London University.

His fi rst album was released by DECCA, a prestigious classical music label while hewas still studying at Kings College. Duringthis time, he also performed a music tourthroughout Europe and composed for musicals, fi lm and theatre.

YIRUMA performed at the 2002 MIDEMin Cannes, France. YIRUMA was the fi rst Korean artist ever to be invited to performat this world-renowned music festival. Hisalbums were licensed for release acrossEurope and Asia. All 5 albums have beenlicensed in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong,Singapore and Malaysia. In addition, theDoggy Poo O.S.T is slated for release inUnited States in 2004.

2 years after his 2nd album, YIRUMArecently released his 3rd album Fromthe yellow room. Pre-order sales alonetopped 30,000 copies and the album wastop-ranked on almost every music chart,including Yes24, Phono, Hot Tracks andothers. His 12 city national tour was asellout and his November concert at theSeoul National Arts Center also sold out.

On November 2005, he released his 4thalbum, POEMUSIC, which is full of lyricalmelody. Following year, he composed amain theme song for popular KBS dramaSprings waltz. He released 5th album, h.i.smonologue. In this album, he experienced

After two years, he fi nished his service in Navy and came back to his fanswith his 6th album, P.N.O.N.I as well as2008 Yiruma Come Back Tour Ribboni-zed around 20 cities across the nation.On January 1st 2009, he became a DJfor KBS1FM Yirumas Music from allareound the world ( ).Currently, Stomp music is representa-tive of Yiruma.
