A Prayer for Friends
I pray for you no matter what you do wrong
I pray for you because we can never stay mad for long
I pray for you because you were the one who was always there
I pray for you for all the joys and times we've shared
I pray for you because through it all you saw me for me
I pray for you because without you only God knows where I'd be
I pray for you because they say one good friend is all you need
I pray for you because you saw what others failed to see
I pray for you because even when times are tough true friends never leave
I pray for you because without real friends life is never quite complete.
Amen.

Catholic Performing Arts Festival
Last week I accompanied our choirs to the Catholic Performing Arts Festival. Our choirs performed very well
and received excellent reports from the adjudicator. I am very proud of the high standard of our choirs and wish
to thank Mrs Stokes for preparing the choirs and giving them such a great opportunity.
For those parents who missed this performance, the choirs will be performing again at the Yidarra Performing
Arts Concert on Wednesday 20 September at 6:30pm, which will be held at Corpus Christi College.
Fun Run
Channel 7 will be airing the footage from our Fun Run fundraiser on ‘The Daily Show’:
Wednesday, 30 August 2017 from 2pm
Book Week
On Friday, we celebrated Book Week with the annual staff play and the student book Week parade. This year
Mrs Suzette Teixiera wrote the staff play, which was very entertaining. Thank you to our staff who performed in
the play and to Mrs Lopez for organizing the Book Week assembly. I would like to also express our appreciation
to the mums and dads for dressing your children in such wonderful costumes. If you have some time do drop by
the library to see the creative Book Week displays made by the talented Mrs Munroe.
Pupil Free Day
Parents are reminded that Monday 28th August is a pupil free day. The staff will be attending professional
development that day where they will learn more about the new Catholic Education WA digital ecosystem,
Leading Lights.
May God bless your week,
Carmel Costin
Principal
