Yeti, the abominable snowman

The Yeti or abominable snowman is an ape like cryptid said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal and Tibet.

HOW WAS NAME DERIVED ??

Howard Bury in his “EVEREST EXPEDITION” found footprints that he believed were caused by a large bear.

This large bear was named as “METOH KANGMI” by them.

This name was mistakenly translated into English as “ABOMINAL SNOWMAN” .

• Yeti are elusive and shy by nature.• Like the gorilla the yeti has an undeserved

reputation for fierceness.• They travel in small groups.• They walk upright on their two feet.• They are nocturnal but can also be found at daytime.

EVIDENCES FOUND

• Many expeditions have attempted to prove YETI’S existence, but no scientific evidence has definitively confirmed it.

• But, many westerners say that they have seen this creature while on expeditions in the mountains.

• Several sightings, mainly of footprints have been the westerner explorers.

• A group of Chinese hunters reportedly captured him for five months until he died.

In the past there have been many reports of sightings and footprints of yeti.

These reports provide details of appearance and lifestyle of Yeti.

Recent evidences suggest of Yeti in Russia.Unfortunately, the accuracy of these reports

cannot be guaranteed.

• The Bhutan expedition reported that a DNA analysis of a HAIR SAMPLE showed that the samples were from a BROWN BEAR.

• Some mountaineers have claimed to have a face-to-face encounter with YETI.
