Posted on October 28, 2012 by bitcodavid

This wonderful photo essay was originally published in the British Daily MailThe beautifully formatted PowerPoint embed has numerous pictures of

California inmates struggling with the overcrowding, that has forced the U.S

Supreme Court to rule that California must actually begin releasing someprisoners. The state - we are told - has endeavored to comply .

A Review of Glenn Langohrs Underdog

Posted on November 28, 2012 by bitcodavid

Our contributorGlenn Langohrspent over 10 yearsin many of Californias roughest prisons. He wasinvolved in several prison riots , and ended up

spending large amounts of time in solitaryconfinement. He has written numerous books onhis time behind bars, and has been graciousenough to send me 2 of them, which I have read, and reviewed in DeafInPrison.com. Underdogisone such book, and I thoroughly enjoyed the read.

This month, I did another review, this one of his book Prison Riot. I was veryfortunate, this time however. Glenn agreed to do an interview as well. In itwe go in depth, into the politics and policies of Californias prison system. Both posts are great reads, but the interview is a must see.

Posted on March 5, 2012 by McCayVernon

One of the first articles we ever published was written by Dr. McCay Vernon

and appeared originally in theAmerican Annals of the Deaf. The businessand editorial offices for the publication are at Gallaudet University.

It didnt take us long to find avideo related to this post, andafter having the ASL interpretedin English for ourHeariereaders, we posted that as well.It was our first video embed.

I hope you enjoyed our littleretrospective, as much as Ienjoyed creating it for you. A lotof memories

I have tried to present posts that you may not remember seeing, and at thesame time, make sure all our contributors and guest bloggers were

represented. A blog post - any blog post - tends to live for a moment, thendie off as the news cycle changes. But everything weve written lives on.Our unique scroll page design allows you to continuously scroll down

through the past weeks and months. Furthermore, each post is stored in thearchives section on our left sidebar. Click on any month, and youll get anactive synopsis of all the posts for that month. A lot of really great writing

and moving artwork is stored on these pages.
